Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G Android Kitkat Phablet With Snapdragon 400 SoC launched

Xiaomi has as expected launched the 4G-LTE-based variant of 5.5-inch Phablet, the Redmi Note in China. Priced at at CNY 999 (roughly Rs. 9,900).

xiaomi_redmi_noteYesterday as we reported about the Xiaomi Redmi Note LTE launch in China is exclusive. It’s a single-SIM phablet, runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with MIUI v5.0 skin on top of the OS. The Redmi Note 4G features a similar 5.5-inch IPS-LCD (720×1080 pixels) display, like the Redmi Note 3G only phablet.

The new Redmi Note 4G powered by a quad-core 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400 CPU paired with 2GB of RAM, instead of 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MTK6592 SoC of the 3G-only variant. Both the 4G/3G variants sports the same 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash, along with a 5MP front-facing snapper.

Connectivity options on the Redmi Note LTE include  China-specific TDD-LTE support (1900/ 2300 / 2600MHz) along with GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB with OTG, and GPS/ A-GPS.

Note: the LTE-bands mentioned are not supported in all countries and if the Redmi Note 4G launches in India, that must get a supported 4G-LTE band.

xiaomi_redmi_note_4g_official_chinaThe Redmi Note 4G packs a 3100mAh battery and it’s also said that both the 3G Redmi Note, 4G LTE gadgets ‘coming soon’ to the Indian market with the Redmi 1S scheduled for an early August arrival, and Redmi Note for a late August entry into the market.

Alongside Xiaomi Mi3 launch in India, the ‘China Apple’ smartphone and tablet manufacturer has also launched Redmi Note and Redmi 1S in India, priced at Rs. 9999 and INR 6,999 heartrendingly.

xiaomi-redmi-1sAbout the Redmi 1s! It’s a dual-SIM (Micro-SIM) smartphone features a 4.7″  IPS-LCD display with (720×1280 pixels) resolution screen, comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection. Runs on Android 4.3 JB with MIUI v5 on top of it, and has got no Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade yet.
