Xiaomi Mi4 Front Panel Already Captured, Now With Metal Chassis Teased For July 22 Launch In China

The next-generation flagship from Xiaomi is ready to launch Mi4 the successer to the company’s prior Mi3 smartphone, has now been made official through an image teaser on Xiaomi founder and CEO Lei Jun’s Weibo account. A photograph of the unannounced Xiaomi Mi4 in both black and white is shown off, and with this latest leak of the high-end handset shows the front panel and the phone right on the assembly line.

Xiaomi’s co-founder Bin Lin has revealed that the company will launch its latest flagship smartphone, the Mi4, on July 22, just a week after the Chinese smartphone maker debuts in India with its previous version of Mi3 handset.

The company has however slowly and steadily started teasing the launch event. With a large numeric for (4) on the invite – indicates that the launch will be of an highly-anticipated Mi4. And the Co-founder also took to Facebook and posted the same teaser, and he said “July 22nd, Xiaomi’s annual product launch event. We will tell the story about “The journey of a piece of steel metal”. Which the post clearly hints that the next Xiaomi smartphone will come with a meta build.

Availability of the Xiaomi Mi4 device is concerned, it will be announced on July 22 in China, according to the reports and will be released on the same day. No doubt, the Mi4 smartphone will arrive featuring metal body. It’s is unlikely that the Mi4 will launch in India anytime soon. Stay tuned!

Speaking about features and Xiaomi Mi4 specifications; is expected to come with a 5-inch screen, sporting a 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution display. The front panel contains the ambient light sensor, a speaker and the front-facing camera. Powered by an Nvidia Tegra K1 or Snapdragon 801 / 805 SoC, 3GB RAM and a 13-megapixel rear camera along with Xiaomi’s MIUI OS based on Android 4.4 KitKat.

Connectivity options on Xiaomi Mi4 would include LTE support, which the company recently announced to launch smartphone with such capability, then the Mi4 is likely to come with 4G LTE connectivity. Although in India, Xiaomi has already listed its first budget-range handset called Mi3 on its official website.

Xiaomi will officially launch its Mi3 smartphone in India on July 15. Priced at Rs. 14,999 for a 16GB version and is likely to be retailed via FlipKart. On July 22, Xiaomi Mi4 will be announced in China!
