Microsoft details new Windows 8 Ribbon explorer UI on Video . Windows 8 goes the ribbon UI route for Explorer . Microsoft thinks its polarizing Ribbon will place the most important file management commands .

Windows 8 Explorer Ribbon UI

Part of Windows 8 Development team published a Demo video of Windows 8 Explorer Ribbon Features and Improvements . According to Microsoft’s Alex Simon , dispite of having 200 Commands in the Explorer the large part of Windows Customer base uses smaller number of Windows Explorer Commands , like Copy, Paste, Delete, Rename accounts, Refresh and about 81.8% Commands are in use.

Clearly suggests that there is a special room to enhance Windows Explorer and while we can see, that from Windows XP to Vista to Windows 7 , there were many changes made by Microsoft to the Windows Explorer. But this Windows 8 with Metro UI will make fully complete with the Ribbon User Interface with full and useful Commands will be a part of Windows 8 User Interface UI.

This new Ribbon Interface in Windows 8 Explorer provides more rekiable and usable Touch-only Interface than Pull-down Menus and Context Menu and also offers various Tabs which will group the similar commands, like Copy, Create New Folder, Movie Folder, Delete, Paste and many more.

The share tab. This is designed to let users quickly share files and folders by making it easy to email, zip, print and fax their data . Windows 8 users will also be able to quickly share files with other home group members of their network.
