Windows 10 Final Will Be Rolled Out To All Windows Phone 8 Lumia Phones

Good news here! And that is all about Microsoft Lumia owners around the world. Microsoft although announced via its Twitter account today about all Windows Phone 8-based Lumia smartphone will be getting the upcoming Windows 10 OS next year.

The next roll out of Windows was announced recently and it will unify the Windows OS and make it compatible to phones, tablets and desktop PCs with just one installation. Final version of Windows 10 is coming sometime next year and is currently in development and few days ago the second Technical Preview of Windows 10 released.

Considering Satya Nadella, Microsoft’s CEO, said the company wanted to “streamline the next version of Windows from three operating systems into one single converged operating system for screens of all sizes“. Microsoft did say “all” Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices though, so we’ll go ahead and classify that statement as fact.

Big treat to see Microsoft updating even three-years old WP handsets with less RAM onboard and to the latest Windows OS. Although, Microsoft’s decision to ditch all WP7 phones when switching to WP8 was a huge blow to the fans and the Windows Phone OS popularity as well. However, after a long time Microsoft has learned a lesson valuable one since than and now, it won’t make the same mistake anymore.
