WhatsApp for Android smartwatch devices has now received an beta version update that apparently usher support for Android Wear-based wearables, such as LG G Watch and Samsung Galaxy Gear Live smartwatch. Users with this new update, will be to read direct and group messages, dictate voice replies, and can also see stacked notifications from the Facebook-owned WhatsApp messaging service on their Android Wear devices. Download WhatsApp v2.11.322 update from the official website, which isn’t available on the Google Play store yet – manifesting its beta release status. As per the reports from publications having tried the update on an Android Wear smartwatch, says, “the implementation is still a little buggy, but worth to try it off on your smartwatch”.
According to Android Police reports, that details the update – which doesn’t yet feature an official changelog, though, noting users will be able to see complete WhatsApp messages on their Android Wear smartwatch’s, yes! Both direct and group messages with the name of the sender as well.
Notably! Stacked WhatsApp notifications are also be presented with the update, allowing users to see and interact with a variety of notifications at the same time, expanding to read or reply. Users will also be able to dictate a voice-over message reply with a single swipe. Great!
There are almost 30 best Android Wear optimized apps released before WhatsApp, and with a section is dedicated to such apps on the Google Play store. Over 30+ apps are listed already in the Android Wear apps archive, including some from Google (like competing Hangouts), and others like TrueCaller, RunKeeper, Trello, match.com, Wunderlist, Tinder, Lyft, ViewRanger GPS, Hue Control, Path Talk, musiXmatch, IFTTT, Pinterest, and Duolingo et al.
Note: About TrueCaller for Android Wear support, it lets users make calls, send SMS text messages or save the caller contact information by a single tap and many more apps were released on the Google Play “Android” store.
