Verizon’s 4G LTE Droid Smartphones Drop its Price

Now the Verizon Wireless decided for a drop in the prices of its two high-end 4G LTE Motorola Droid smartphones through the carrier’s web store. Those two devices are Motorola Droid Bionic and Motorola Droid RAZR. It also seems that the roumerd price of its upcoming smartphone Motorola Droid 4 will also pull down the price tag. It has dropped to $149 on-contract at Verizon

Though the Verizon didn’t give any official announcement about the price and release date of the Droid 4, it was rumored that the price would be $249.99 with a new two year contract. But now, according to the reliable sources, the Droid 4  might be launch for $199 with a new two year agreement. The new pricing comes from Verizon’s most recent ‘Minimum Advertised Price’ (MAP), and is courtesy of Droid-Life.

Verizon is on the run in droping the prices of some of its other devices. One of them is Motorola Droid Bionic which has a tough competition with both the iPhone 4S and Motorola Droid RAZR. Now it comes down to $149 with a contract at Verizon. And the Droid RAZR 32GB itself dropped its two black and white models to $279.99 on-contract. In addition, the Samsung Droid Charge and the Droid X2 are now available for $50 on-contract.

Now coming back to the Best Smartphone of CES 2012, the Droid 4. It seems that the Verizon is waiting for a complete sold out of its Droid 3 stock and it wants to give the Droid RAZR MAXX a littile more time to settle in the market before it launches the Droid 4.

Though it was in the air that, the Verizon is dropping the prices of its 4G LTE Droid smartphones, it is unclear that when the Verizon will launch the Droid 4. Here is a reason for a guess. The Droid 3 deal ends on February 6th, so probably Verizon will unveil the Droid 4 mostly after the completion of this old deal. As soon as we get the specific date we will let you know.
