Verizon LG G Pad 8.3 Started Receiving Android 4.4 KitKat Update

Finally! After many other manufacturers mobiles getting Android 4.4 upgrade, now, Verizon Wireless has started rolling out KitKat update to its LG G3 Pad 8.3 tablet.

The LG G Pad 8.3 tablet has apparently received the Android 4.4 KitKat update this morning, although it took some time to fall over, however, it’s finally here for those owning an Verizon LG G Pad 8.9-inch tablet.

The Android’s KitKat version 4.4 update, alongside bug fixes, brings few enhancements and performance improvements as well. Key feature would be LG Knock Code, which allows users to unlock their G Pad 8.3 or any LG smartphone and tablet devices in a variety of ways (almost 86,367 different ways available), according to LG Electronics.

What is LG Knock Code? This is how this system works, users can unlock the device by tapping a knock pattern on any area of the screen, and it doesn’t matter if the display is on or off. Using between two to eight taps, there are over 86,000 possible knock combinations that users can set. Even if some might find LG’s claim debatable, its certainly a fast system.

Its version Android 4.4.2 to be precise, apart from customizations, LG has also made Google’s UI tweaks also visible, looks no further than the white signal bar and battery indicator. Print services, multi-user access and an all new immerse mode have also been included in the KitKat 4.4 update for the LG G Pad 8.3 on Verizon.

Verizon is rolling out Android 4.4 update for its LG G Pad 8.3 tablet in phases to avoid server overload. No worry, if you won’t receive an update notification yet!
