Here’s Samsung range of new ultra high speed-1 MicroSD cards for advanced LTE smartphones. Toshiba was first to introduce the ultra fast SD cards, now Samsung on its way to produce Ultra High Speed Class 1 memory card designation has been reserved for SDXC and SDHC cards, and just announced new microSD cards that support the faster interface as well.

The Korean company today announced a new line of microSD cards, using the UHS (Ultra High Speed) standard. The new microSD card could be used in future smartphones to enable high speed transfers. Samsung say that the microSD UHS-1 card is capable of storing 16GB, and will hit sequential read speeds of 80MB/s. That’s faster than what current microSD cards are capable of achieving, maxing out right now at around 20MB/s.

We have no idea about what type of Advanced LTE Smartphones supports this with 3D gaming and HD video capabilities can be stored from Samsung’s production of a new advanced controller.

Samsung also confirmed that higher capacity versions of the UHS-1 card will be available in the future. Seems to be produced for the larger media consumption demands of consumers, and storage requirements for large photographs captured from high end smartphones. While the Galaxy S II offers 16GB built-in that’s enough and why rolling out external memory cards (MicroSD cards).

From Samsung Hub:

“MicroSD cards with a UHS-1 interface offer users an extremely high level of performance on their LTE smartphones and for other advanced mobile applications. This allows consumers to enjoy high-quality images and video playback directly from the memory cards, which fully support the advanced performance features of diverse digital gadgets,” said Wanhoon Hong, executive vice president, memory sales & marketing, Samsung Electronics. “Our UHS-1 card demonstrates how Samsung plans to continually expand its line-up of memory cards in accommodating the market need for higher densities and greater performance.”

We will let you know more about Samsung’s Ultra High-speed MicroSD cards with UHS-1 interface specially designed for Advanced LTE phones and Tablets and also confirmed to release high capacity UHS-1 microSD cards later this year.

Are you an Android user? No! no problem, wish have read this latest update on the new cloud service made by search giant called “Google Play”. What is Google Play? Find out all that you haven’t aware of. Details after the jump!

Google has taken a step toward unifying its digital media service, Google today announced Google Play, a cloud-based service that combines Google muisc, Books, Movies and App into one entertainment hub.

What are those 5 important things about Google Play :

First : In the package, Google eBookStore, Google Music, and the Android Market were combined to form Google Play, the scoop is is, you not only purchase music, books, movies and apps at play.google.com, but you will be able to store those items in the cloud, Which can be done right from your Android phone or tablets using various Google Play apps.

While the two mobile and web stay synced, so when you purchase an app, movie, song, or book on the Play Web site, that content will become immediately available on your Android phone (and/or tablet). Similarly, if you rent a movie on your Android tablet, it becomes available for viewing on your desktop as well, how and why?. Because, its a cloud-based service, those purchases won’t eat up storage on your computer, tablet or handset. Similar to iTunes iCloud now available for Android guys.

Second : The Google Play store has already gone live and on its way to your Android soon. The Play store is online live right now at play.google.com. When you try to go to the Android store, you’ll be simply redirected to the Play Store. Well! within few days, you will be seeing the below given four app updates on your Android devices:

* The Android Market will become “Play Store.”
* Google Music will become “Play Music.”
* Google Movies will become “Play Movies.”
* eBookstore will become “Play Books.”

Don’t want to wait for the Google’s official update, you can install manually right away.

Third : You can upload your own movies and music to the Google Play, while Google Music allows you to store up to 20,000 songs, which remains the same. The only change is its name, Play Music. Any music files you already purchased or upoaded will be still available, and you can continue uploading your favorites at music.google.com, or on the rebarnded Android app, Play Music.

Right now, Google does not allow you to upload your own movies for access in the cloud. Its Play Movies app solely functions as a movie rental service.

Four : If you are a non-Android user, though Play is specially and highly marketed to Android users, any Google user can use the service to take advantage of cloud-based content management. Simply by renting a movie, upload and purchase music, or buy books on one computer, and you
‘ll get access it on any other PC desktops.

Five : While Google Play’s cloud-based service won’t kill your data plan, even though all your content is stored in the cloud, and if any of it is available for offline playback. That includes books, music, and rented movies. However, the amount of content you stored offline, or “cache,” will be limited to your device’s storage capability.

Here’s a tip: Simply connect to WiFi before downloading content for offline playback, this way you do less harm to your own data.

As Google explains, “You can easily share posts about your favorite books, music, movies, games, or apps to your Circles on Google+, e-mail, or text message in a single click.” This integration, which has been available on Google Music for a while, will be useful for Google+ users, but others might find it annoying. Via CNET

HTC is also keen to give certain incentives to encourage consumers to buy more of the upcoming devices, including free Dropbox cloud storage of up to 25 GB over two years within purchase.

Samsung’s Galaxy S II smartphone was released in June 2011, now pushing its next-gen quad-core Galaxy S III with 7mm thick body.According to the South Korea’s Electronic Time News on monday cited unnamed sources in claiming Samsung’s upcoming flagship superphone will pack impressive specs into a case that is just 7 millimeters thick – the thinnest version of Samsung’s current flagship. Galaxy S II, while featuring a case that is 8.49 millimeters thick.

The site also mentions that the Galaxy S III will feature an 8-megapixel camera ?(rare) and a front-facing with 2MB camera, a Super AMOLED Plus display running Android 4.0.x mobile operating system.

From SlashGear:

Samsung’s Galaxy S III could launch as early as May 2012 and be just 7mm thick, according to South Korean sources, with the quadcore Android 4.0 smartphone testing all its creator’s manufacturing expertise.

In our thought the Galaxy S2 is already the slimmest smartphone, there’s no other that can compete with it. Instead of trying to win the slimmest smartphone race, we might suggest the company to build smartphones with longest lasting battery life and expand the processig speeds, RAM size and somewhat newer integrations.

When compared to the iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S, the Galaxy S III (S3) its pretty good but not awesome. If it would win it should add some other useful features that the other competitor didn’t. Well that’s my thought. Apart from this topic, if you want to visualize how slim 7mm is, just have a look at the recently released 7.1mm Motorola DROID RAZR.

Samsung has already advertised as the Galaxy S II is the “worlds slimmest dual-core smartphone” last year. Now the Galaxy S III become the worlds slimmest quad-core smartphone?

It seems that the Barcelona will celebrate this month with lots of new upcoming devices as the great show is ahead. All the companies are planning for the releases of their new devices at that event. Among one of them, the LG may be release Two new smartphones P700 and P880 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in this February.

Here are some specifications of the LG’s upcoming two new phones P700 and P880:

Though it is not yet confirmed, the LG P700 will have a spec on it which is quite unusual for an Android-run phone. The device will come with a 640×480 resolution HD display, which means, with that resolution the device will have a portrait hardware keyboard. The P700 also comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and a TI OMAP 4430 processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM.

The second one, LG’s P880 will have more specifications than the P700. It will have a 4.7 inch display and 16 GB of storage capacity and might come with a 8 megapixel rear camera. The device will also have 720p HD display screen and it might run on a dual core, or even a quad core processor, likely to be the Tegra 3.

Apart from these two devices, there were plenty of rumors that the LG would launch a high-end smartphone very soon. There is not an exact hint about this device but the possibility of the gossiped phone would be LG X3. And it is speculated to come with 21Mbps HSPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Near Field Communication, Bluetooth 3.0 and a 2,000 mAh battery. The device will also have 8 megapixel rear camera and another 1.3 megapixel front camera.

So, let the LG unveil these three smartphones P700, P880 and X3 at MWC 2012. It is just a few days away to witness the event.

At last Sony acquires the Ericsson for $1.47 billion for the ownership of the Sony Ericsson joint smartphone venture which is now officially approved by the European Union (EU).

Actually this deal was announced by Sony in Ocober 2011, but it took almost three months to be meterialized and now on 26th of January it got approval by the EU to go on.

This deal gives Sony full grip in controlling the phone division and also it will get the full advantage by the patents those come along with this deal. Now Sony Ericsson will not be appear on the new devices as Sony is going to release them under it’s own brand. In fact, when the approval of the buyout was still under the process, Sony launched two smartphones, the Xperia S and the Xperia Ion under the ‘Sony’ brand.

The Ericsson’s buyout by the Sony gives the takeover company some challenges. In the 4th quarter of their earnings report, Sony Ericsson had shown up 247 million Euros loss. Now it is a big task for the Sony to patch-up the losses and throw the company in to a mine of profits. Let us hope Sony can pull the trigger. good luck to Sony!

Shifting the technologies and moderate the devices are not that easy, there are several things involved in it. As One of the most famous tablets and phones maker of this world, the LG is facing the same problem with Intel Medfield phones and tablets. It is in dialama to use Intel’s mobile Medfield chipset on its devices.

Actually, LG was one of the first companies which came with a conceptual prototype of a Medifield smartphone some years ago. That prototype was coupled with Intel’s then Moblin OS, which has been transitioned to MeeGo and now to Tizen. Now, switching to Intel’s Atom-based Medfield CPU is still stay as undicided as LG was previously using ARM-based processors on its devices.

As we already know that, unlike the common ratio of 16.9 on most of today’s Android phones, LG had put a device called GW990 on demonstration with an ultra-wide display aspect ratio of 21:9 at CES some years ago. Because of the LG’s opinion, that the GW990 was only a proof-of-concept device, it did not commercialize it eventhough the company had shown it to the world.

Though there were gossips at privious CES which were not metirialized even in the present Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2012), that the LG would launch some Medfield smartphones and tablets with the partnership of Intel. Though the LG is not completely denying about working with Intel, may be it is waiting for the right time and wants to take precautions to step ahead for the future sake.

Meanwhile LG is hesitating to step forward, the Motorola goes on its own! It already unvailed some prototype phones with Medfield processors at this years CES. Motorola set-up a multi-year partnership with Intel and computer-maker Lenovo to launch the devices with Medfield.

May be other companies will also step in this race very soon. As it seems, at present situation, Motorola pushed LG aback in the race. We will see when LG will come with Intel Medfield phones & Tablets. via
