This Firefox 12, as new enhancements include updates to the browser, add line numbers to the source page and included several improvements. When you go back to past, users of Mozilla’s popular browser wouldn’t see a version update for several months at a time, but since the six week update cycle came into effect a year ago, the version number has leapfrogged from 4 to 12.

As i said above Google’s Chrome browser also operates a similar update program like Firefox, and with both commanding a similar market share, the Mozilla team is desperately trying to remain relevant, although the momentum is firmly behind the Big G’s comparatively young browser.

Version 12 is ready for download, but it hasn’t – as yet – officially been released to the public. As has frequently been the case during the past 12 months, there aren’t any significant changes to note, although as ever, it is strongly recommended you grab the latest version, to which we’ve provided official download links to at the bottom of this post.

Upto me i am a Windows-running Firefox surfer, there’s no User Account Control prompting whenever you wish to update, making it slightly quicker for you to get your next update when it surfaces – probably late next month. Improvements have been made to the “Find in Page” function, while URLs pasted into the download manager window will now be automatically downloaded. For those still running Windows 2000, Windows XP RTM or XP Service Pack 1, Firefox 12 will be the last iteration to officially support them, leaving only those running Windows XP SP2 and above with the privilege of using Firefox 13 and beyond.

UnlimApps has launched the ShazamTones tweak on the Cydia store in attempt to expand the functions of the Shazam app. At the same time it promotes their own UnlimTones app which is also in Cydia. The shazamTones identifies almost all the installations of the official Shazam app in both free and paid versions. Since BBTicket saving is a ‘silent’  process, you won’t actually notice it being saved, and there’s no separate configuration. By saving your SHSH blob in the new version, your BBTicket will also be saved automatically for a time when it may be called upon.  But the process is so simple however:

Step 1 : Download TinyUmbrella [Windows or Mac] and run it.

Step 2 : Connect your iDevice to your PC or OS X.

Step 3 : Click on the “Advanced” tab and check the “Overwrite existing SHSH files on “Save SHSH”” and “Request SHSH from Cydia” should be unchecked. Refer to the screenshot below if you’re facing confusion:

Step 4 : Now, simply hit the “Save SHSH” button and you’re good to go.

TinyUmbrella version 5.10.14 has the ability to see which SHSHs have the BBTicket saved. The BBTicket saving is a “silent” process and it is stored in the same file as the SHSH so there really isn’t a way of telling if you have successfully saved your BBTicket or not. In 5.10.14, the SHSHs that have a BBTicket saved as well are indicated in BOLD as seen below:
