Sony Devices Can Now Move Apps To SD Cards On Xperia Android KitKat Phones

As you all Xperia T2 Ultra and Ultra Duos owners know by now that Sony has started rolling out Android 4.4.2 KitKat-based firmware update to those two mid-range smartphones and with some minor features also brought the new OS version, updated system and Sony exclusive apps. Best part in this 4.4.2 KitKat update for Xperia T2 Ultra is that, it brings one top end functionality, on how to “move apps to the SD cards”. Full details can be grabbed after this break!

Here’s how Xperia users can now move apps to SD card! Just after you have downloaded and installed Android 4.4.2 OTA update on your Xperia devices (T2 Ultra/Duos). Go to the Application Manager in your Settings menu, and select an app. There, you’ll notice the new Move to SD card option, with a new column showing only the apps installed on your microSD crad.

Exclusive feature which is priceless for the mid-and low-end Xperia phones, which come with a very limited internal storage and system partition. Not even available with the KitKat updates for Xperia Z top-end lineups, though. Sony is particularly targeting such integrations for the less-capable devices.

Not only on Xperia T2 Ultra, but Sony is still planning KitKat updates for Xperia M2 and E1 in the coming future and bet we’ll see “Move to SD card” feature premiering on those with the new Android 4.4.2 firmware as well.

Currently, Sony Xperia (T2 Ultra) users can now move apps to SD cards via aforementioned guide and it will be next on KitKat-running Xperia smartphones with the next update.
