Microsoft has officially announced that they have completed the integration of Skype in their own Outlook contact and communications software. MS Outlook users will now have the ability to switch between the two applications when they want to use Skype or Outlook. Features gone live and who live in United States, Canada, France, Germany, Brazil and the UK can make Skype video calls directly from the Outlook.com.
Additionally, the Skype Outlook features makes it easier and simple for Skype users to jump from a video conference to email conversation and vice-versa. Outlook in the past only eligible to import Skype contacts, but with the Skype integration, now it got the ability to make fully fledged video calls to your contacts with a hype.
Microsoft has integrated its two biggest communications services, Skype and Outlook and the Skype app is now available for all Outlook customers in the aforementioned regions, and what that actually means is that people can no doubt use the video chat and messaging service directly from their e-mail. Outlook already connects with users’ Facebook and Gmail accounts. So, integrating Skype seems like a natural progression for Microsoft.
Google in the other hand also gives users that ability to make video calls and message people through their Gmail accounts, and besides email, the Google Voice feature lets users place calls from Google Hangouts, Google+, and the Chrome extension, holding conversations with up to 10 people at a time.
In order to make Skype calls and video calls directly from Outlook.com, make yourself sure have installed the perfect Skype web plugin, before you start. The Skype-Outlook.com plugin is currently available in selected markets, only.
