Steven Troughton-Smith – an iOS developer – worked with 9to5Mac to make the port of Siri from the iPhone 4S to iPhone 4 and able to get the begining steps of a full port rolling after the Installing the iPhone 4S Siri and Springboard files onto an iPhone 4.

Developer Steven Troughton-Smith has been working with 9to5Mac exclusively to port the iPhone 4S Siri voice command system to the iPhone 4. Troughton-Smith was able to get the beginning steps of a full port rolling after installing the iPhone 4S Siri and Springboard files onto an iPhone 4. As you can see in the video, Siri’s interface loads up with all the features from the iPhone 4S implementation.

What are the Issues Left in Siri on iPhone 4S Porting:

Troughton-Smith managed to get the Siri port started up by installing some of the Siri and Springboard files from the iPhone 4S onto an iPhone 4. Sadly, the performance is, as we mentioned earlier, not quite up to the work. The reason for this is how Siri apparently requires a special GPU driver for iPhone 4 which, obviously, isn’t included within iPhone 4S. The second issue is how Apple is not authenticating voice commands sent from Siri on iPhone 4 to it servers.
