Samsung Galaxy Pocket 2.8 Announced A Budget-Friendly Android Smartphone, Unveils Specs and Release Date In The UK

It is a good news for those who depends upon their monthly allowances and the students who can’t spare much amount for a device. As we want to tell you about it, in a recent press release Samsung announced a new 2.8 inch budget-friendly Android handset called Galaxy Pocket.
The Samsung’s Galaxy Pocket 2.8 boasts its TFT touchscreen with 240 x 320 pixels of full screen resolution. The handset will be layered with Samsung’s custom TouchWiz UI paired with Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
As per company’s announced specifications, the handset will be equipped with 832MHz processor for lite gaming and applications, 3GB of internal storage and 32GB external storage. It comes with Bluetooth 3.0 to transfer the files. To stream the latest videos on YouTube you can use it’s Wi-Fi or 3G. The phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack that serves as your FM Radio receiver so it is no problem to listen to your favorite radio station.
Among all these specs there is one thing that gives the phone lovers not much plesure. The Samsung Galaxy Pocket will not have a front facing VGA camera for video chats. It only comes with a 2 mega pixel rear facing camera with geo-tagging sans the auto focus and LED flash.
Samsung hasn’t announced the official launch date of the Galaxy Pocket. But the company did say that the Android smartphone will be made available later this year in the UK.
