Until now we’ve shared you some skin packs and launchers to turn your iPhone into the concept designs, but today we’re going to introduce you with a device called Poppy, that allows you to easily capture and view 3D video clips directly from and on your Apple iPhone handsets. Check the details on how to convert your iPhone into a 3D camera after this jump!
The Poppy 3D device has been designed by Ethan Lowry & Joe Heitzeberg, which turns any iPhone 5, 4S or iPhone 4 and iPod touch 5G into a 3D video camera and become the first ever 3D device in the world so far. Poppy not only transforms your iPhone into a 3D camera, but also capture photos, videos and also can be viewed and shares 3D video clips as well.
In three different dimensions, Poppy 3D device lets you capture and share the world the way you really experience. Poppy is as said the first 3D device that turns an iPhone into a 3D camera capable of capturing, viewing and sharing full-motion, full-color video and stills in 3D.
It’s compatible and works with aforementioned iOS devices and by putting your smartphone in and Poppy’s mirrors capture two stereophonic images using your iPhone’s single camera. Just look in the viewfinder, you’ll find Poppy’s lenses combine two video streams into a single, crisp, 3D video. Extraordinary!
“Poppy is great for capturing events like weddings and for action sports, or for just playing with your kids in the backyard. Images and videos captured with Poppy are immersive. Viewing feels like you’re experiencing the original moment again!”
“3D videos on Poppy look much better than 3D content viewed using red/blue glasses. Since YouTube 3D uses the same stereographic image technology that Poppy does, their content plays back in beautiful, full-color, high definition 3D when viewed using Poppy.”
Poppy device doesn’t require any batteries nor electronics. It’s just optics and your iPhone’s camera and screen that makes it worthy sharing 3D videos using 3D camera. Watch the video shows you how you can transform your iPhone into a 3D camera using Poppy 3D project.
