Oppo quietly launched the worlds first rotating camera smartphone, the Oppo N1 Mini, bringing it first to the Malaysian market, and key features of the handset have been unwrapped, along with the Malaysia pricing as well.
The launch announcement was actually made via Oppo Malaysia’s Facebook page with an image uploaded, with key specifications of the handset was generated on July 31 along with the caption that says, “OPPO’s latest N1 mini is available now at all OPPO Stores/Dealers nationwide! Do check out the 5 inch sibling of our World’s First Rotating Camera Smartphone!”
The Oppo N1 Mini priced at RM 1,398 (approximately Rs. 26,700) and the N1 mini is a single-SIM handset that runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with the company’s custom skin, ColorOS 1.4, on top of it. Features a 5-inch (720×1280 pixel) display made by JDI and powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and Adreno 305 GPU clubbed with 2GB of RAM.
The Oppo Ni Mini sports a 13-megapixel rotating camera with LED flash and powered by Sony IMX214 sensor. Storage wise, the N1 Mini comes with 16GB of built-in space, without an expandable microSD card.
The Oppo N1 Mini supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, 4G LTE and 3G connectivity options. A 2140mAh battery backs the smartphone which also measures 148.4×72.2×9.2mm and weighs 150 grams.
The N1 Mini launched and available in White, Blue and Yellow color options. The Chinese smartphone maker also teased its Oppo N1 mini for India, but did not mentioned any exact time frame.
