OnLive Desktop Plus Brings Adobe Flash To The iPad With Ultra-Fast IE9 Web Browser

To make the life of iPad users easier, OnLive made Microsoft Office available on iPad via OnLive Desktop app that was launched last month. The application gives access to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Reader as well as a 2GB of secure cloud storage for those files and data.
On the February 22, the company has announced a newer version of OnLive Desktop. Both the upgraded version of OnLive Desktop Standard, or OnLive Desktop Plus, grings an ultra-fast cloud-acceleration Web browser integrated with full-Adobe Flash Support and Adobe’s Acrobat PDF plug-ins.
OnLive Desktop gave iPad users a way to access a Windows machine with Microsoft Office installed, along with 2GB of storage for files. Now OnLive Desktop Plus goes one step further by adding internet access to the mix via Internet Explorer 9.
So, an iPad app that connects to a Windows PC, which then connects to the internet via Internet Explorer. Basically, iOS is very tight operating system leaving users with limited means of modifying how they use their devices, which stopped Flash Player from being installed on the iPad. if you really do need to use such things and don’t want to use a Windows 8 tablet when they become available.
OnLive Desktop Plus app is awesome. The Plus subscription will set people back $5 a month, which gets you that IE9 access over a gigabit internet connection as well as priority access to the service. Those with free accounts are granted access based on current demand. When opening the app, the first thing we notice is Windows 7 desktop right on the iPad. And all this happens without any Windows install on iPad. The app also features the latest version of Microsoft Office – Word/Excel/PowerPoint, along with MS-Paint, Adobe Reader and Internet Explorer.
Few days ago, rumor surfaced that Microsoft Office suite will be released for iPad soon, but Redmond gaint “Microsoft” has discarded all those rumors.
OnLive Desktop Plus is also having some downsides like, the simulated PC is lacking the Control Panel, that can be found in the original Windows PC. However, there’s no printing option available and will be showing in Landscape mode even when you’re hold your iPad in the potriat mode.
OnLive Desktop Pro for ipad is also to be released by OnLive, which is to bring almost all the Windows programs like Photoshop and AutoCAD to iPad and with supported to run any Windows-based games, and the ability to customize your virtual desktop. While Pro’s storage option runs uop to 50GB, plus prority access to OnLive servers, at price tag for $10 per/month.
Onlive want’s to release OnLive Desktop for Android tablets and smartphones, PCs, Macs and even TVs will be available soon.
