Although the Nokia Lumia 830 is expected to be launched in some markets starting this week, but customers in the United States may have to wait until November to get their hands on the new Windows Phone 8.1-powered handset. According to an eagle-eye Rogers shopper, it is coming to Canada’s largest carrier. Full details after this fold!
Last week, the Lumia 830 photos were sent into WPCentral which showing dummy units of the upcoming mid-range WP handset inside Rogers stores, complete with TimmyMe app on the home screen. Price is the question, which will cost between $350 to $400. But it’s not clear as yet about Rogers is the only carrier selling the WP8.1 gadget. Stay tuned!
Now, talking about the Nokia Lumia 830 launch on AT&T. As per the WPCentral and unnamed people familiar with this matter, AT&T intends to start selling the Lumia 830 on November 7, 2014. But it was already announced by the US carrier that it would apparently offer the Lumia 830 to its customers, though it did not provide any official release date for it.
Speaking about Nokia Lumia 830 – introduced as Microsoft’s first “affordable flagship” smartphone. Its off-contract price isn’t higher than 400 dollars, so it maybe AT&T will sell it for $50 or even less on contract.
Specification as far as it goes, the Lumia 830 features a 5-inch IPS screen, offering a 720p ClearBlack display, powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage space, microSD card support, and a 2200 mAh battery. And most interesting is that it sports a 10-megapixel PureView camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) on board.
Alongside AT&T, Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile may also launch the Nokia Lumia 830 soon… but there are no official confirmations on this yet.
