New Retina iPad Mini 2 Announced: Everything You Need To Know Officially

About Apple’s announcement on October 22nd was lively streamlined through iPads, iPhones and iPod touches, even via Apple TV and on OS X Desktop Mac systems. The official announcement indeed come through with the iPad mini 2, which packing a wonderfully-crisp Retina panel, with the smaller of the two Apple slates also includes a few era of features we’re more familiar with, integrated with A7 processor of the iPhone 5s.

Now, Apple has taken what appears to be a gamble by revealing it today with Retina display.

The iPad mini with Retina Display is exciting as the iPhone 5s itself, but not followed by the conjunction of biometric Fingerprint sensor, the “Touch ID”. Since it borrows many of the flagship phone’s key features, like the faster processor, display and many more.

The Retina iPad mini packs the 64-bit A7 processor – with the same iPad Air’s M7 coprocessor – that commentators have been polishing lyricla about the iPhone 5s was announced in middle of September. Beyond from the A5 (of iPhone 4s), it has seen in the original iPad mini, and makes it a extraordinary counterpart to the full-size iPad Air, to which it has, certainly played a weak second place in the hardware department.

The FaceTime HD camera has been improved to its desire. The iPad mini 2 with Retina display comes in 16, 32 and 64GB storage configurations in either Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi + Cellular.



Similar to iPad Air’s, the iPad mini 2 with Retina has also received a duo of new official cases. Smart Cover and Smart Case for Retina iPad mini 2 are priced $39 and $69, respectively. The new cases / covers are also compatible with the first-gen iPad mini.  While the iPad mini 2 has been left unchanged, only change will be the Retina display. Both cases are available in 6 different color options.


The iPad mini 2 with Retina display will be available later in November. Price of the iPad mini 2 with Retina display is a bit expansive than the basic edition. The WiFi only version starts at $399 for the 16GB model, $499 for the 32gb iPad mini 2, $599 for the 64GB model and the boasting $699 for the 128GB Retina iPad mini 2 model.

Note: The Wi-Fi + Cellular model will be a bit high than its WiFi only counterpart. Priced at $529 for the 16GB model, $649 for 32GB, $749 for the 64GB and a fabulous $829 for the 128GB variant.
