Amazon has rolled out their second update to its Kindle Fire to version 6.2.2 firmware. This update brought some minor bug fixes and performance tweaks. The Amazon’s Kindle Fire update is very small and brings a new button which allows you to enable Full-screen browsing on Silk web browser. Details after the jump!
Means, the update 6.2.2 grants Amazon’s Silk browser access the Kindle fire’s whole seven-inch screen.
But with a similar factor as previous updates from Amazon the new software version 6.2.2 for Kindle Fire also removes root access to the Android device. Amazon pushed this new update over-the-air (OTA) so many Kindle Fire devices will automatically download and install it right from their device.
If you ready to re-root, then update your Kindle Fire right now and its live. If your Kindle Fire is running a custom ROM such as MIUI or the popular CyanogenMod then you can update manually, reason that not automatically applied.
To root your Kindle Fire on version 6.2.2, you have to first download the BurritoRoot utility that will allow you to easily add root access back to your Amazon Kindle Fire even after installing the latest firmware version.
Justin Case has already done that, brought the root access back to those users of Kindle Fire who updated their device to the latest software v6.2.2. BurritoRoot 2 is an easy-to-use exploit that just requires the adb ( Android debug bridge ) and some time. If you are ready to grab BurritoRoot? embedded link below the post.
