What I Feel about MS Safety Scanner (MSS) ?
I tried this Microsoft Safety Scanner, its better (not so perfect), Scans perfectly, and where this Safety Scanner is a fixer only, and scans and after tries to fix anything it finds Broken. I was not able to Download any updates for this MSS Program. After 10 days this Microsoft Safety Scanner it does not run, so Download MSS (new version) Again and run Scan.
But, that is some what wasting time, but it scanned some malasious software running on my Windows 7 PC and fixed, that others which i used did not fixed. There is no installation and setup, and this Security Tool called “Microsoft Safety Scanner” will be 70+MB in size, and self contained security scanner package, that you Download and Run like a Standalone Yahoo Messenger 10.
Here are those Three Options to Scan :-
* Quick scan – Likely spots that malware might be lurking
* Full scan – Whole system … just in case
* Customized sca n – Scan a specific folder
Here are some Drawbacks for this Microsoft Safety Scanner :
* There are not updates provided for the tool – you have to redownload the package
* The download is only valid for 10 days, after which you have to redownload the package
* The progress bar seems to mean nothing
