The Development team behind the popular Linux operating system have announced the arrival of their latest creation in the form of Linux Mint 12 Lisa. The Ubuntu Linux operating system was chased by Linux Mint for sometime. Today the developer team behind the Mint 12 Lisa has included several other new features as well as new artwork, which can pro dive Ubuntu with a very worthy competitor.

The Linux Mint 12 Operating system now features a new Mini GNOME Shell Extensions(MGSE), that allows you to benefit from the latest features in the new version of GNOME. Since the Linux Mint 12 “Lisa” continues to use the application menu, bottom panel, and several other features included in the previous versions.

Linux Mint 12 “Lisa” released and available for download for computers built (equipped) with either 32-bit or 64-bit x86 processors. Supported by 512MB to 4GB of RAM, 5GB of Hard disk space, and sporting a screen resolution of 800 x 600 pixels or higher.

Just yesterday, an update to the Linux Mint distribution was launched. The latest version, 12, called Lisa was made available for download yesterday. The distribution is based on Ubuntu.
