Shifting the technologies and moderate the devices are not that easy, there are several things involved in it. As One of the most famous tablets and phones maker of this world, the LG is facing the same problem with Intel Medfield phones and tablets. It is in dialama to use Intel’s mobile Medfield chipset on its devices.

Actually, LG was one of the first companies which came with a conceptual prototype of a Medifield smartphone some years ago. That prototype was coupled with Intel’s then Moblin OS, which has been transitioned to MeeGo and now to Tizen. Now, switching to Intel’s Atom-based Medfield CPU is still stay as undicided as LG was previously using ARM-based processors on its devices.

As we already know that, unlike the common ratio of 16.9 on most of today’s Android phones, LG had put a device called GW990 on demonstration with an ultra-wide display aspect ratio of 21:9 at CES some years ago. Because of the LG’s opinion, that the GW990 was only a proof-of-concept device, it did not commercialize it eventhough the company had shown it to the world.

Though there were gossips at privious CES which were not metirialized even in the present Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2012), that the LG would launch some Medfield smartphones and tablets with the partnership of Intel. Though the LG is not completely denying about working with Intel, may be it is waiting for the right time and wants to take precautions to step ahead for the future sake.

Meanwhile LG is hesitating to step forward, the Motorola goes on its own! It already unvailed some prototype phones with Medfield processors at this years CES. Motorola set-up a multi-year partnership with Intel and computer-maker Lenovo to launch the devices with Medfield.

May be other companies will also step in this race very soon. As it seems, at present situation, Motorola pushed LG aback in the race. We will see when LG will come with Intel Medfield phones & Tablets. via
