The South Korean electronics LG has officially launched its hot flagship Android smartphone, the LG G3 price in India on July 21 at Rs. 47,990 for the 16GB with 2GB of RAM version and the Rs. 50,990 for its 32GB with 3GB RAM G3 version.
Alongside LG G3 launch, also announced the G Watch at the event, which has been priced at Rs 14,999. LG also Offers G3 buyers worth of Rs. 15,000, like they’ll get a QuaickCircle case (RS. 3,500) bundled for free, and a dicount on LG G Watch with a Rs. 5,000 worth, and a one time screen replacement worth Rs. 6,500.
The LG G3 features a massive 5.5-inch AH-IPS LCD QHD (1440×2560 pixels) display and a staggering density of 538ppi. Running Android 4.4.2 KitKat and a single-SIM configuration was first announced at the end of may 2014.
LG has encased the G3 device in a lightweight metallic casing, and has redesigned the rear button with new materials measuring just 8.9mm thick.
The LG G3 weighs around 150 grams carries a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, paired by 2GB of RAM, toppled with a ‘simple flat GUI’. The new UI usage minimalistic design and facilitates better multitasking. The multitasking UI has also been given a tweak, with app grouping and symbols to help differentiate when switching.
The company although touting three ‘smart’ features on the LG G3’s UI, namely Smart Keyboard, Smart Notice, and Smart Security. Also using a lightweight metalic ‘skin’ casing, LG redesign the rear button interface with new button materials and sahpes to make its more ‘intuitive’.
The LG G3 launched with two different built-in storage variants, the 16GB and 32GB, both can further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.
The LG G3 smartphone sports with a 13-megapixel rear camera with OIS+, dual-LED flash and a laser autofocusing sensor that can focus in 0.276 seconds. Optimised further with a ‘Touch and Shoot’ UI, which also brings the focusing and clicking down to one step, shooting when users touch the area they want to focus on.
The front-facing 2.1MP camera on the LG G3 poses with a f/2.0 aperture, and a selfie mode that starts the timer countdown when users moves their hands in fron of the camera. Connectivity options include Micro-USB 2.0; Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac; Bluetooth 4.0 LE (Smart Ready Apt-X); NFC; SlimPort; GPS/ A-GPS; Glonass; GPRS/ EDGE; HSPA+ (3G), and LTE (4G) with MiMO support.
Powered by a 300mAh battery, the LG G3 features wireless charging support enabled via its optional wireless charger that tends a stand, enabling customers to easily use the phone while it’s charging. LG G3 users can however charge their smartphone in potrait or landscape mode with the wireless charger.
Notably, the LG G3 include 1 Watt speaker with Boost Amp; KnockON and Knoc Code; new smart notifications; a new slim ‘Smart Keyboard’ layout; new file management features; a minimalistic new user interface on top of Android, and six QuickCircle apps – call log, dialler, music player, messages, clock and shortcuts to settings.
