LG seems all set to introduce the phablet variant of its flagship G3 smartphone soon, with a larger screen equation, called it the “LG G3 Stylus“, being spotted in an official promo video on August 6 (Wednesday). Now, yet another report surfaced suggesting that a Q3 launch for the anticipated LG phablet, providing purported specifications from an leaked UA profile listing and an import/export site.
The South Korean giant LG has remained silent about the device, which accidentally previewed G3 Stylus in the LG G3 Beat promotional video. Next removed it from the YouTube though! Speculation arise, especially when considering that the mighty king of phablets, the Samsung Galaxy Note, certainly ready to launch its 4th iteration in less than a month.
Although, LG hasn’t even officially announced the G3 Stylus yet, but alleged release info surface on where the phone will be available, when, and how much it’s priced. Let alone left wondering not only about the gadget itself, but whether or not the LG G3 Stylus has what it takes to rival against its biggest stylus-esque competitor.
Apart this, the South Korean electronics has provided nothing about the unannounced G3 Stylus specifications, an supposed user agent profile with model number D690n, as well as an import & export site listing with the same model number indicate that the handset will be a budget-offering.
According to two unproven listings of the D690n smartphone, dubbed to be the LG G3 Stylus – will sport a 5.7-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display and run Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. Like the G3 A (LTE-A band connectivity) launched already in Korea, the G3 Stylus 4G-LTE supporting phablet, powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM.
Other listed specs for D690n, purported G3 Stylus include an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 1.3MP front-facing sensor and an 8GB on internal storage. Suggesting allegedly that the yet-to-be-announced LG G3 Stylus will launch in Q3, which, to include a ‘peb-pushinh’ stylus that’s 5.5-inches in height.
“The Stylus will be the pen-pushing model with a screen size of about 5.5 inches,” stated an official familiar with the matter to Korea Times.
When compared the alleged G3 Stylus specifications to LG G3, it boasts an ultra crisp “quad-HD” display with a 1,440p resolution, a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, and a cool laser-guided 13-megapixel camera. Versus Galaxy Note 4 with 5.7 inch 2K QHD AMOLED, 12MP OIS Camera, 20nm-based 4GB DDR3 DRAM, IP67 Certification. This is what called a big competition in the 2014 era.
Admitted that LG is using the success of its flagship to help market the smaller G3 Beat and the bigger G3 Stylus. Smart move from LG, since customers will identify the G brand faster than if these devices were really given a standalone name.
Since none of the aforementioned specifications have been confirmed by LG, the final product might arrive with some changes.
