LG Confirms Android 4.4 KitKat Update For Optimus G and Optimus G Pro In India

The LG company has revealed the announcement news on the LG Brazil’s Facebook page confirming that two of its older Optimus Android smartphones – the Optimus G and G Pro will be reportedly receving the new Android 4.4 KitKat update, by the end of August 2014.

According to the LG Brazil’s Facebook page, [Google Translation], “Android 4.4 KitKat available for Optimus G Pro until the end of July and the Optimus G until the end of August.”

Finally confirmed that the update for both the LG Optimus G and Optimus G Pro will arrive in the August end, in-line with an earlier report that suggest the company’s flagship smartphone launched in 2012, will be getting the Android KitKat treatment.

While the Optimus G Pro will be reportedly getting the Android 4.4 KitKat update a month earlier, that means in July-end. Great!

Notably, the LG Electronics has started pushing the 4.4 KitKat update for the Optimus G Pro in India, further suggesting that the Android update is now available in Indonasia as though. The Android KitKat update for the Optimus G Pro is reportedly 684MB in size and is available over-the-air (OTA).

Still got no official statement from LG on Android 4.4 KitKat update roll out for the Optimus G smartphones in India, which currently runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and there are some of the few flagship handsets that skipped the Android 4.2 and 4.3 Jelly Bean updates.
