The Chinese-based firm has not only launched its first “Layered” smartphone, the Vibe X2 in UAE yesterday, but announced three new handsets in the Middle East from its Vibe series, including Lenovo Vibe Z2 and Vibe Z2 Pro as well.
The 5-inch VIBE X2 smartphone also packs with powerful innards and it is designed with three gradient layers and sports Lenovo’s new VIBE 2.0 UI. The phone is quite slim at 7.3mm, flaunt a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5MP wide-angle front sensor for selfie captures, and both the cameras poses with auto-shutter gesture controls that allow you to capture photos by blinking your eyes or waving your hands.
The Lenovo VIBE X2 is powered by a 2GHz MediaTek MT6505 octa-core processor, paired with 2GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage without microSD card. It is backed up by a 2300mAh battery (non-removable) and it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box.
Lenovo has also introduced two click-on back-cover accessories, known as VIBE Xtensions, that apparently include a battery and a JBL speaker, which amplifies the phone’s sound and will be available in Red, Gold and White color options.
Priced at Dhs 1,499, the X2 will retail in UAE stores by end-November. About the Lenovo Vibe X2 availability in India, haven’t mentioned as yet. As per the official listing on the Lenovo Indian website indicates that it’s around the corner.
