Lenovo IdeaPad, ThinkPad Tablet To Get Android 4.0 ICS Update

Home in India, then here’s a good news for owners of Lenovo ThinkPad, by this May, Lenovo is rolling out Ice Cream Sandwich for ThinkPad tablets, means the second quarter this year. While the ThinkPad runs Android 3.1 Honeycomb, so you will be able to upgrade your tablet with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich soon.

Lenovo confirms that the 4.0 ICS update will be released Over-the-Air (OTA), however they didn’t given any particular date on when this upgrade will be available. Lenovo has revealed that its IdeaPad tablet will also receive the ICS update. According to reports, the update is likely to arrive in India by May this year.

Both the Lenovo ThinkPad and IdeaPad tablets currently run on Android 3.1 Honeycomb operating system, sports a 10.1-inch display with 1280×800 pixel HD resolution, 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor and 1GB of RAM. The tablet retails starting at $479 and runs on Android 3.1, which is code-named Honeycomb.
