iPhone 4S Untethered Jailbreak On iOS 5.0.1 Demoed On Video
Within one or tow day as i told, a public release of an untethered jailbreak for both iPad 2 and iPhone 4S will be out. Pod2g a iPhone hacker mentioned in his latest blog post that this will be the last post i write regarding the iPhone 4S 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak. Pod2g, who is the genius behind this iOS 5 exploit for both A4 and A5 devices, has posted a video on his blog which shows jailbroken iPhone 4S running Cydia, on iOS 5.0.1, fully untethered.
We published a post on the recent progress of Planetbeing who had done by running “unsigned code on iPhone 4S” today. Yesterday we also mentioned that the A5 untethered jailbreak will be an amazing jailbreak yet.
Few days ago we already informed that the hackers are just few more days from releasing the untethered jailbreak for A5 running iOS 5.0.x. This jailbreak includes iPhone 4S and iPad 2. There’s still no exact release time but at least we know that it’s coming to the public very very soon.
The iPhone 4S already jailbroken untethered on iOS 5.0.1. Pod2g has posted a video to his blog of an untethered iPhone 4S running on Apple’s latest version of iOS.
The video was made by his friend Dustin Howett, a popular iOS developer and hacker. In the video below, a real untethered jailbreak is shown on the iPhone 4S.
Just today, a member of the so called “Dream Team”, the legendary iPhone hacker PlanetBeing, tweeted out some more progress on A5 jailbreak (for iPhone 4S and iPad 2), confirming unsigned code running successfully on his iPhone 4S.
@planetbeing: Finally got unsigned code running on my 4S with the stuff that will go into the new jailbreak!
Pod2g posted on his blog:
My friend @DHowett made a video of an untethered 4S iPhone 4,1 running iOS 5.0.1 some days ago. @DHowett is a famous iOS developer and a member of the Chronic Dev Team. Only a few to wait now.
Do it right now! if you are still on the older version of iOS 5.0, upgrade your iPhone 4S and iPad 2 to iOS 5.0.1, and highly advisable to do so now as Corona untethered jailbreak exploit been reportedly patched by Apple in the latest iOS 5.0.1 beta. So, You MUST upgrade your device to final version of iOS 5.0.1 now before iOS 5.1 is released to public. This is important because once final version of IOS 5.1 is out, you wont be able to downgrade your device back to iOS 5.0.1 and hence will be out of luck for any jailbreak until the next one pops out – which probably wont be available anytime soon.
For those who are already running iOS 5.0.1 on their A4 chip devices, can follow the full guide posted here to jailbreak 5.0.1 untethered on iPhone 4, iPad 1, iPod Touch 3G/4G using Redsn0w.
