Apple has pushed the latest version of iOS 5.1 release to the public and after a few hours the iPhone Dev Team releases the Redsn0w tool version of 0.9.10b6. The latest version of Redsn0w 0.9.10b6 released to tethered jailbreak 5.1 for A4 devices only, not the A5 iPhone 4S and iPad 2. Now hackers have already started working on finding vulnerabilities in the newly released iOS 5.1.
In our previous post we informed that, the iPhone 4S users who have upgraded to 5.1 cannot downgrade to older iOS firmware even though they have the saved SHSH blobs. Apple has stopped (blocked) the way downgrading in the iPhone 4S. All A4 devices with SHSH Blobs saved can be downgrade to iOS 5.0.1 to perform an untethered jailbreak using our complete guide posted here.
Today, there’s only a tethered jailbreak available for all non-A5 devices except the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 on iOS 5.1, but the legendary hacker pod2g has announced that he’s now working hard in order to find vulnerabilities in iOS 5.1, which was tweeted by him via Pod2gs Twitter account.
The news comes in a reply of a user who asked pod2g about the release date of a jailbreak for what Apple announced “the New iPad”.
A tipped note, pod2g mentioned the well-known iPhone hacker i0n1c in a tweet telling him that “a little bird told me you’ll have a surprise soon.”
Which kind of surprise? Untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.1, or we going to see Greenpois0n absinthe jailbreak tool update for iOS 5.1 soon? Anything else? Simply wait for the surprise!
