Alleged image of Google’s upcoming Nexus 9 slate has apparently popped up in the wild and after months of rumors and leaks, now witnessing the first leaked images of what may be called, the HTC Nexus 9. Now, following certification for the device from the US FCC authority, it appears that it is one step closer to official release.
Speaking about the FCC that lists a tablet numbered 0P82100 – points to that model number that the HTC-made device sports. Configurations include both the 16GB and 32GB variants of the unannounced tablet, with the usual array of connectivity options including Bluetooth, NFC, and support for the latest 802.11ac WiFi standard (wireless).
Rumors point that the Google Nexus 9 from HTC could be unveiled as early as Oct. 15, and the FCC certification at the this phase almost guarantees that we’ll have a new Nexus tablet in the time of holidays.
It’s imminent that the new Nexus tablet will be made by HTC, called it Nexus 9. Confirmed as fact by the FCC, Taiwan’s equivalent of the FCC. While the NCC managed to confirm that this is the purported Nexus 9. Screenshot of the certification document already placed below.
The leaks about the Nexus 9 have strengthen, we’re obviously going to see it getting official pretty soon – past rumors intensified around mid-October and we’re almost there.
The Nexus 9, allegedly got photographed just few days ago, should pack a 64-bit Nvidia Tegra K1 SoC and 8.9-inch (2,048×1,440 pixels) resolution touchscreen, an 8-megapixel rear camera, and front speakers – if previous speculations are to be believed.
