iPhone 5 Supports GSM and CDMA Bands – Next iPhone Confirmed to be World Phone ?
iPhone 5 Confirmed to a be Dual-Mode CDMA/GSM World Phone – According to the Techcrunch , An iPhone developer has discovered app registrations from users that are using a new phone that (iPhone 5) supports both CDMA and GSM Bands . Believe it or not , here is the evidence provided by that App Developer asked to remain anonymous.
Actually, the log shows that the app has been tested by a handful of people using what is almost an iPhone 5 running iOS 5, and sporting two distinct sets of Mobile Network codes (MMC) and Mobile Country Codes “MNC”, which are used to identify the Mobile Carriers.
Sure enough, some registrations for the app – which the developer also asked not to be named – were logged from a new Apple device, using the MNC/MCC codes from both Verizon and AT&T.
We are aware of the CDMA Verizon iPhone 4 made a debut in Feruary 2011 and the first iPhone 4 was a GSM Phone was released on June 29, 2007, exclusively on the AT&T Network in United States.
We can be sure, that Apple can luanch the next iPhone (iPhone 5) on both Carriers “GSM/CDMA” as a World Phone. In my thought this idea would be great. So, that with a Dual-mode iPhone 5, users will be able to roam beetween the GSM and CDMA Networks easily.
