iOS 5.0.2 Update Next Week To Fix Battery Issues, iOS 5.1 Set To Make Siri Smarter, Improved

According to the popular German blog Macerkopf.de, Apple is set to release iOS 5.0.2 software update next week to finally fix battery woes. The battery issues started since the release of iOS 5 and the iPhone 4S to the public launch. Several iPhone 4S users have reported fast battery discharge. iOS 5.0.1 was released to fix that issue but it actually hasn’t.

As reports by a German blog, which focuses its attention – as you might expect – around the Cupertino company, a guy from the inside working in Apple’s iOS division has revealed to them that the battery issues have been completely resolved, allowing iPhone 4S users to enjoy the stated-in-manual 40 hours of standby and 10 hours’ usage.

The post also claims that update will be released no later than next week, so those of you facing rapid battery depletion, it seems you’ve only a few days left. Apple was reportedly investigating the issues in iOS 5 and iOS 5.0.1 which caused battery problems. Apple now has been reported to be releasing iOS 5.0.2 by the end of the next week.

Flashing note on iOS 5.1 – The technology blog also reported that Apple is currently working on iOS 5.1 to bring new Siri capabilities. which means, iOS 5.1 will make Siri Smarter with improvements. Allegedly, the voice-recognition software will be able to recognize quite a few more commands than the fairly broad catalogue it’s already capable of, such as taking pictures and video clips, and the ability to activate / deactivate Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

We don’t have the sure information, unfortunatly no indication as to when iOS 5.1 will be released, we think! may be in Christmas holidays?. The new iOS 5.1 update is also expected to bring Maps integration with Siri to the additional countries as well, and the report dodn’t unveil the release date of 5.1 iOS Yet. Today, we should be happy that the battery is (presumbaly) fixed.
