Intex as promised back in June, now launched Cloud FX – the first smartphone to run on Firefox OS, available at a cheaper price range in India under Rs. 2,000!
Intex Cloud FX features a 3.5-inch HVGA display, powered by a 1GHz processor, sports with a 2-megapixel rear-facing camera and supports dual-SIM standby. It got everything, similar to what Firefox reference design was unveiled earlier this year, and it only has 2G (EDGE) connectivity.
Although, the Firefox OS is purely based on HTML 5, has Adaptive App search or the Single Window Search and arrives pre-loaded with Facebook, Twitter and other social apps. Nevertheless, it has Firefox marketplace inbuilt, from where you can download more useful apps.
Specifications also includes a 46MB of built-in storage, with support for microSD cards (up to 4GB). Connectivity options include GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, Bluetooth, FM radio, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The Intex Cloud FX weighs in at 104 grams, and has dimensions of 115.9×62.11.8mm. It sports a 1250mAh battery, rated to deliver up to 4 hours of talk time and a standby time of 200 hours.
Following the budget-range smartphone trend, like Spice launched Fire One Mi-FX 1 running Firefox OS last week priced at Rs. 2,299. Intex today launched Cloud FX in India!
