How to Install iOS 5 Beta 6 on iOS Device – OTA
Important Note – This iOS 5.0b6 is an OTA (Over-The-Air) update for supported iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch Devices. You must be Registered UDID developer to receive the Changes of OTA and does not require to Download the iOS 5 Beta 6 IPSW Files.
Step 1: Go to the Settings.app.
Step 2: Tap on General.
Step 3: Scroll down and tap on Reset.
Step 4: Tap on Erase All Content and Settings.
Step 5: Tap on Erase iPhone/iPad/iPod touch, the device will ask you twice.
Step 6: Set up your device PC-free once again.
Step 7: Once you have set up the device, once again go in to the Settings.app.
Step 8 : Now tap on General followed by Software Update. You will be shown the image posted below. Tap on Download and Install.
How to Install iOS 5 Beta 6 using Windows & Mac Computers
Step 1 : Download iOS 5 beta 6 ipsw for your respective iDevice.
Step 2 : Download iTunes 10.5 beta 6 for Windows and Mac.
Step 3 : Back up your device with iTunes before proceeding.
Step 4 : Windows Users – Launch iTunes and once detected, then press and Hold the shift key and Click on Restore. Mac User – Press and Hold the Alt Key and Click on Restore Button.
Step 5 : When Promted, Select the 5.0b6 IPSW Files
Step 6: iTunes 10.5 beta 6 will Install iOS 5 Beta 6 on your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch (take 5to10 Minutes)
Warning: If you have Factory Unlocked iPhone 4, then you will be able to Update and If Software Unlocked iPhone, then please Do not Update it to iOS 5 Beta 6.
