Although, the Taiwanese gaint have already sent out invites for its highly-anticipated handset launch event, scheduled on August 19 in New York, and today, an HTC One (M8) smartphone with Windows Phone 8.1 OS on board has been spotted on a telecom operators site. While the invites doesn’t unwrapped anything.
The second time, this Windows Phone 8.1-running handset was spotted on Verizon’s holding page, suggesting that the wireless carrier will sell the device when its officially launched. ‘HTC One M8 for Windows’ is what the image contains in the URL.
HTC will apparently launch its One (M8) running WP8.1 handset, and for proof, you’ll only need to follow this Verizon URL. Other than this, no other details about the device known as yet, it is expected that the HTC One (M8) Windows Phone 8.1 device will boast the same specifications as its original Android sibling.
Notably, HTC hasn’t launched any Windows Phone-based device since the HTC 8S and HTC 8X launched in 2012. As per the HTC One (M8) Android version, it sports dual rear camera setup that puts a 4-UltraPixel camera alongside a 5-megapixel front camera.
