Just after Google’s official announcement of the latest version of Android 5.0 Lollipop, Motorola apparently confirmed that it would be rolling out the update to its Moto and the all new Droid devices and first off will be received by the Nexus 4, 5, 7, 10 and GPe (Google Play Edition). Remind you that, today, Motorola-made Nexus 6 smartphone alongside the HTC-built Nexus 9 tablet were introduced, and also took the wraps off the Nexus Player set-top-box powered by Android TV.
HTC now, confirms the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its One (M8) and (M7) smartphones, revealed that both the handsets will receive the upgrade “within 90 days of receiving final software from Google”. That’s isn’t it, just hours ago, Google also clarifies that the Nexus 6 will be launched in 28 countries, including India by the end of this year.
About the Lollipop roll out, HTC also suggested that the update to other One series and select devices will follow as well. Reports claims that Google is still finalizing tweaks for Android L and it will be ready soon. While the Nexus 9 will be available to purchase in stores starting November 3rd, and HTC’s first Android 5.0 version update to drop in between then and the first week of February.
Motorola’s list of devices which will get Android Lollipop update are, the Moto X and Moto G, Moto G LTE, Moto E, Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx, and Droid Mini.
