We showed a video of the Amazon Kindle Fire – the device trying to compete with the iPad 2 – has been Successfully rooted! This news comes from Androidforums forum member death2all110 who had managed to root this device in no time with SuperOne Click using the aergRush exploit. The only reason in the way being, getting ADB to work with the device so that SuperOneClick can work it’s magic. The major part to rootting the Kindle Fire is the only source to get ADB support for the device, we’ll show you just how you can do it.

Discalimer : Please follow this guide at your own risk. Grabi will not be liable if your device gets damaged or bricked during the process.

Before Rooting you might require:

You need to make sure that ADB is installed and you will be needing SuperOneClick 2.2

Instructions:

1. To begin, go to %USERPROFILE%\.android and edit the adb_usb.ini file, and add this to the end of the file saving it when done:

0×1949

1. Open the google-usb_driver folder found in the Android SDK folder and edit android_winusb.inf to add this to the [ Google.NTx86 ] section and [ Google.NTamd64 ] section:

;Kindle Fire

%SingleAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_1949&PID_0006

%CompositeAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_1949&PID_0006&MI_01

1. Once done, save and close.
2. If your device is already plugged into into the USB, you may have to open Device Manager to find Kindle under other devices and choose the android_winusb.inf file to update the driver.
3. Now on your device, make sure USB Debugging is enabled. Also make sure Installation of apps from unknown sources is also turned on.
4. Now open command prompt or a terminal and enter the following commands:

  adb kill-server

      adb devices

5. If you see a device listed, you’re good to go with the rooting process.
6. Run SuperOneClick and hit the Root button to begin the rooting process

Amazon Kindle Fire Gets Rooted Successfully with a simple One Click to get ADB working and to Install Custom ROMs and also grab the 3rd paerty applications too. Any queries related to the process, head over to the forum thread at Androidforums and thanks !
