Using Facebook without any Data Plan (EDGE, GPRS, or 3G)

As Facebook has recently announced that mobile users in India can access their Facebook accounts, even if they don’t have activated any WAP services on their phones. Facebook India has partnered with Fonetwish to bring Facebook on every mobile phone without requiring any apps or even the Internet.

After dailing the *325# number, you will recieve a message that “we will be back”, then enter your Facebook username and password, that’s it you’re in. You can also send number based commands to access various features of Facebook, Chat with friends, family who are online, add new people to your friends list, and many more.

 

The main point in order to use Facebook to read feed stories, and to quickly update Facebook status or for chatting with your friends who are online, costs you not more than a subscription fee of 1.00 per day for unlimited usage.

Note: The only problem with using Fonetwish is that it has a limit of 140 characters. This service is now available in India via Airtel, Idea, Aircel, Tata Docomo and well known networks as well.
