Google Nexus Smartwatch Reportedly To Features Google Now, Rumored For October Unveil

Samsung with the Galaxy Gear has started some hype but have fallen well short of expectations of both the company and consumers, although wearables is still in its infancy. Wearable is also expected from the big G, as we heard that the Google’s new Nexus smartwatch tipped to join the party of Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat announcement, which will be called Google Gem. Smartwatch release date suggests that the device is urely based on the Motorola xWatch will run stock Android KitKat.

Although it is not clear as yet about the smartwatch “wearable” phone final name would be the Google Gem or its only the codename stated for the rumored watch. Google is a big player, obviously works hard on producing a Nexus smartwatch powered by Android mobile operating system and it will definitely become a big rival to the Apple’s iWatch and Samsung’s Galaxy Gear, Pebble, the Omate Smartwatch and more.

The recent report that surfaced on the Web claims one of the major feature of the rumored Google Gem will be the Google Now, and the smartwatch is said to be arriving with a variety of Google Now features, rumored to debut on 31st of October 2013, alongside the Android 4.4 KitKat and Nexus 5 goes live.

Literally, Google is apparently working on the wearable device currently and also focusing on fixing the battery life, before the official unveiling of Google Gem. Features Bluetooth 4.0 LE, exclusively designed to be more battery friendly and also used to communicate with other Android smartphones and tablets.

The 9to5Google is report suggests that the Google Nexus smartwatch could arrive “sooner rather than later” and possibly as soon as October 31st. Google smartwatch has been quite secret till now. Codenamed GEM, the Nexus smartwatch is reportedly getting the final touch finishing. Google is hardly focused and centered around Google Now, and we could actually see Android 4.4 KitKat on board with the UI front, which is being heavily favored by Google Now, Search and Voice commands.

Similar to Google Glass, the GEM lets you answer incoming calls and message alerts, notifications and many more, all to be synced to Nexus smartwatch.
