The updated version of Gmail for Android comes with the all new Material Design, alongside with a plathora of new features. The version 5.0 of Gmail for Android gets a modern design and now, shows up cleaner and colorful UI.
Apparently, the latest version also adds support for non-Gmail accounts such as Yahoo, AOL, Outlook, etc. Apart this, the Gmail app was restricted to Gmail or Google apps account only. Additionally, the update adds a reply button at the bottom of every message, email making it quick and easy to continue a conversation.
Nevertheless, Gmail users on an Android tablet will be able to switch between different accounts and different Inbox categories, this update is pretty much useful. The updated version of the Gmail app will now support all Android 4.0+ handsets.
Google in its company’s blog post said to look for the latest Gmail app version for Android phones in the next few days. The APK of the Gmail 5.0 app rolled out last week includes the aforementioned inclusions. Interested ones can also check the Google’s new standalone email app, called Inbox for Android as well.
