Download Firefox 7.0 beta 1 (Windows, Mac & Linux ) – Mozilla launched Firefox 6 Final for Windows, Mac and Linux to Public release and today, Firefox 7 has shrugged off its Project Aurora tag and available for Download as a Beta for Major Operating Systems.
We already wrote about Firefox 7 , that can be 50% faster than the Previous versions of Firefox ?( Firefox 6 and Firefox 5 ). Now you can try it for yourself and check the performance.
This release Firefox 7 Beta 1 (Beta Channel) features major memory optimizations by incorporating Mozilla’s MemShrink optimizations and better Javascript garbage collector, Firefox 7 will also feature tools to help developers measure load times and offer faster Synchronization of bookmarks and passwords.

* Drastically improved memory use
* Added a new rendering backend to speed up Canvas operations on Windows systems
* Bookmark and password changes now sync almost instantly when using Firefox Sync
* Added support for text-overflow: ellipsis
* Added support for the Web Timing specification
* Added an opt-in system for users to send performance data back to Mozilla to improve future versions of Firefox. This can be enabled by installing an add-on
* Fixed several stability issues
What Mozilla Say about this Beta Firefoix 7.0 :
“Reduces memory use and improves performance areas including responsiveness, startup and page load time, even in complex websites and Web apps” said the official blog post for the release.
We will also be looking in to the memory management side of the browser where it played a key role in most of the users browsing behavior.
Having said that, “The JavaScript garbage collector works more frequently to free up memory and improve performance when you have many tabs open or keep Firefox running for a long time”
