This isn’t the first time Amazon rumored to be setting up itself to introduce a smartphone, capable of having the 3D screens. Heard about the upcoming Amazon smartphone at least once in a while since a year, as a complement to its Kindle e-Reader and Fire tablets. Today, the sources speaking to The Wall Street Journal, reporting that Amazon is actually working on two smartphones, which may also include a 3D display.

Few days back, the reports surfaced that Amazon is developing a wide range of gadgets, and one of the smartphone which will have a 3D screen. In addition to the two smartphone models, Amazon is also said is actually working on a device for streaming music “audio-player”, and a set-top box.

The alleged 3D smartphone will include a glasses-free 3D display, and the device is capable of tracking a user’s retina, causing images to “float” above the screen. While the retina tracking can also be used to take control over the smartphone either.

In the past, we read about the 3D screen cover for iPhone, which actually does the same thing and today’s technology will immediately makes one think of Nintendo’s 3DS. Unlike Nintendo’s glasses-free tech, Amazon smartphone display will reportedly allow a 3D image from all angles.

No surprise to hear about Amazon working on smartphone, but a bit strange to hear news floating on a possible 3D-enabled device. Although, the 3D-technology has had a mixed success at best in the customer point of view in the current technology market. Like Amazon with a smartphone added with a very advanced display could make some difference in the smartphone market.

If the report is accurate, then Amazon will be the first major smartphone makers to introduce a smartphone with 3D capabilities. In the past HTC and LG offered phones that shot and played three-dimensional video and offered glasses-less 3D displays and sported two cameras on the back to compile their pop-out images. Now, it’s time for Amazon with its Kindle 3D smartphone?

Apple has just seeded a new update by adding more versatility to its iTunes 11 that comes with a couple of unexpected features. All the Apple’s iOS devices rejoice! the latest and the greatest release of iTunes version 11.0.3 has been relatively incident-free, and to continue in that vein, the Cupertino has just released iTunes 11.0.3 with a couple of minor improvements.

iTunes 11.0.3 download link is available right below this post. The version 11.0.3 version of iTunes adds a couple of new features to the mix, and not being an incremental refresh, but added several new features on the board. By adding iTunes MiniPlayer with a big album art along with a progress bar, Apple has released this update with some speed fixes.

The new iTunes 11.0.3 update includes MiniPlayer improvements, enhanced Songs View, and multi-disc albums. Certainly not an groundbreaking update, by any mean of imagination, but these enhancements are more than welcome, and essential to improving the overall fluidity and ease-to-use. Importantly, “the update also brings enhancements to the MiniPlayer, such as a new album artwork view and a progress bar“.

Remind you that the iTunes 11 released back in November 30, along with a swift update was dropped just two weeks after amending issues pertaining to iCloud, among other bug fixes and enhancement and yet another update was done in February 2013 to iTunes 11.0.2 that brought Composer View, making today’s bump the third since that initial release.

Being an iPhone 4 and iPhone 5 owner, due to significant changes to the overall iTunes UI, I was facing difficualty with the new navigation in the past when used iTunes 11, even though its more functional than the older iTunes 10.

Toady you can update your iTunes right now by going through the Software Update route in your app, or not currently running iTunes on your Windows or OS X machine, you can simply point your web browser to apple.com/itunes/download to grab the latest update.

You can download iTunes 11.0.3 now via Software Update using your PC running Windows 8 operating system or on a MacBook Air running the latest OS X Mountain Lion.

Today at the I/O developers conference, Google has almost wraps off its new “All Access” on-demand subscription-based Music service with the business style and pricing. Called “Google Play Music All Access”, just as an alternative to Spotify, Pandora and Rdio. Check out the details after the break!

Initially in the US, the Google Play Music All Access will be launched, costing $9.99 a month with a 30-day free trail. With its web and mobile interfaces feature millions of songs you can play instantly, recommandations, charts and playlists, plus instant radio stations are also added.

The Big G has launched the service and effects immediately for those eager to adopt early in exchange for just a significant saving, Google is cutting the price to just $7.99 for those subscribing before June 30. As a Spotify rival launches today in the United States for $9.99/month, and rejoice yourself, sign-ups can be made before 30th June and get it for 7.99 dollars.

Google at its I/O conference launched All Access in dozens of announcements in San Fransisco. As noted by Android team member Chris Yerga:

“Music unites us, it’s universal . . With current music services, you might have a huge catalog to choose from, but getting that music organized and playing quickly is too hard. We set out to build a music service that didn’t just give you access to a world of music, but helped to guide you through it.”

So, everything from your Google Music locker is automatically pulled into Google Play Music All Access. Under the content you own, rest of an artist has All Access is automatically listed and plays at a tap. To try and add a USP to the multitude of similar offerings, the All Acees Music service will curate a list of songs that auto-updates based upon the kinds of bands and artists you listen to. If you want it to be removed from the songs list, you can simple swipe it away.

Judging by it demonstration, it’s pretty clean and sleek service. More countries will be delighted with Google Play Music All Access soon. with options for instantly queuing up songs. It’s also designed to get music playing as fast possible if you just want your ears filled.

At $7.99 for those keen to jump right in, it’s very attractively priced. The logic behind launching an on-demand music service seems to be that it’s critical part of any phone. Android is incomplete without it. Google Play Music All Access might never become a market leader. When considering Spotify’s huge head start with 24 million active users and 6 million paying subscribers. Google could heavily promote it if it wants growth, reason behind this is that All Access is located within Android-ubiquitous Google Play store.

Now, with this new MUSIC subscription service, Google strengthens its presence on mobile, which could be getting people buying more Android phones which lead to plenty of other revenue for Google.

The Mountain View company claims this All Access Music service is better for music discoveries than any other and no doubt it is a big case for big company’s. And it’s also apparant just how often the Biggies come up short when it comes to securing licensing agreements for the tracks most folks want to hear.

With this new Google software, it will be starting off in the United States initially before launching to the rest of the world. More details will be surfaced soon about All Access Music, so stay tuned to know how to install, and download music! The updated version of Google Play Music is now live, grab it from here.

Saurik, aka Jay Freeman known to many, is the most popular man behind not just Cydia Store but various inners working on iOS jailbreak programs. First of all he brought the theming ability to the world with introducing Winterboard, the most popular iOS theme platform on jailbroken iOS devices. Continuing his ability, stepped to his next one surprising us that much.

Today, in a tweet, Saurik has stated that he has just launched two apps on the Google Play Store. Yes! You heard right, Saurik now merged into the Android ecosystem, and in a large way. With Winterboard and Cydia Substrate apps in general are two great tweaks debuted on Android platform, now available to download for free.

Actually, to install in iOS, your device must be jailbroken on iOS 4-iOS 6.1.2/6.1.3/6.1.4, and now on Android, both apps require a rooted device. Winterboard in my iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 is the most useful app and it is pretty self explanatory if you’ve ever come across the Cydia app – you can download theme packs to change the homescreen to icons of the Android device experience just like iOS.

Note: Because its super early in the development process, we suspect it’s only a matter of time before things really kick off.

Cydia is obviously filled with awesome themes for Winterboard, and certainly Google Play Store will no doubt be the same as time passes behind. Already it has some Winterboard alternatives such as ADW Launcher, XE launcher and CyanogenMod 10. Which doesn’t need any Android device to be rooted. Cydia’s Winterbaord is worth checking out!

About Cydia Substrate? Being a starter, you’ll need Cydia Substrate in order to install Winterboard and use it, which will be used as the crux of future apps, too. Cydia Substrate won’t actually look like it’s doing anything on its own, mainly it isn’t. Substrate will only enable when another aoo is installed that uses it, just like Winterboard with.

Substrate being a gum that holds the iOS jailbreak system together, and it’s sure to become an integral part what where Saurik intents to take Android development going forward. In my though, your favorite iOS jailbreak tweaks will eventually make their way to Android. Great to hear!

Winterboard on iOS, obviously needs Substrate in order to make that particular tweak of magic happen without any hassle. Both arriving on Android is great news for those who love to theme on their smartphones, and in an pretty easy way. Before you continue, Cydia Substrate requires that you have Android 2.3 Gingerboard and higher installed on your device. How to guide is available right below along with the download link!

BlackBerry is one of the best mobile OS with its BlackBerry Messenger service (BBM), rumored to put it into a multi-platform from years. Today, the company has announced that it is bringing its BBM chat platform to multiple platforms and devices, including iOS / Android-dominated market. BlackBerry is now looking forward to reestablish its presence and to spread its popular messaging tool to users of those two vital platforms.

BlackBerry Messenger will hit the Google Play and iOS App Stores this summer, and it will be coming to iOS 6 for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch devices and will also work on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and higer for those on Google mobile OS. BBM app, which announced currently will be a free of charge tool and bring cross-platform messaging between BlackBerry, iOS and Android users.

According to the company’s CEO Thorsten Heins talked about taking BBM to multiple platforms said: “It’s time to bring BBM to a greater audience . . no matter what mobile device they carry.”

When compared to BBM alternatives, the messaging space has drastically changed. With Apple’s BBM copycat service iMessage boasts over 140 million users. Other services like MessageMe, GroupMe and Facebook Messenger boast apparantly large and growing users base. While the WhatsApp, with more than 10 billion WhatsApp messages are sent each day and its user base is easily in the hundreds of millions. In other thoughts, WhatsApp service is widely successful in emerging markets – same as the markets that BlackBerry cites as its core BBM user base.

BBM vs WhatsApp, which also on a ton of platforms – including Windows Phone, Symbian and of course, BlackBerry 10. Although the decision is not perhaps all that surprisng given BlackBerry’s recent situation, it is one of the deal. BBM’s uniqueness is inteded to work in BlackBerry’s favor, drawing in new cunsumers wishing to be a part of the popular network. But the company always sticked with the old fashioned keyboard handsets while likes of Samsung, Apple and HTC amplified with more gorgeous designs, BlackBerry has lost its mobile market share.

The new-look BBM 10 will no doubt go head-to-head with the likes of WhatsApp, which is been a very well established cross-platform app that already boasts million of users worldwide. The company’s CEO Heins also promised that the experience of BBM on both iOS and Android would be fully-fledged, adding: “We’re starting with messaging and groups, but we’ll bring voice, screen share, and of course, channels later on.”

Of course, there are other free services (alternatives to BBM) out there, including Facebook Messenger. Still, Heins has a point about free being a potentially big driver in adoption and described the decision to release BBM now was merely “a statement of confidence,” with BB10 being strong enough without the need for the kicker of the exclusive messaging service.

This summer, we being an BlackBerry Messaging service clients gifted with a better BBM app for iOS and Android users. Let us know what you think about this move looks to be in the interests of driving consumers (back) to BlackBerry?

The upgrade of the most popular Google cloud service has been unified. Now users who keep images on Google+ Photos (aka Picassa Web Album), or manage documents on Google Drive or file messages with large attachments in Gmail are gifted with more storage space. Check out the details after this jump!

G-Drive was launched last year, when Google offered users a 5GB of free Dropbox-style storage to save documents and photos – but Gmail has long had its own, seperate 10GB of storage. In order to expand its space, Google now unifying storage across its products.

By offering a 15GB of unified, free shared storage, Google has tweaked this for all users who now gets a combined fifteen gigabytes of shared storage across Drive, Google+ Photos, and Gmail that can be used as they wish to. Something that should automatically make Drive a lot more useful to many users.

Remind you that Google previously has given you ten gigabytes for Gmail and an additional five gigs of combined storage limit to Drive and Google+ Photos. Now, this change strengthens the Drive brand while simplifying things for consumers, when compared to Apple’s iCloud that comes with only five free gigabytes of shared cloud storage.

According to the Google’s Director of Product Management, Clay Bavor in a blog post over at the Gmail, explains about how the combined storage space simplifies life for consumers:

“For example, maybe you’re a heavy Gmail user but light on photos, or perhaps you were bumping up against your Drive storage limit but were only using 2 GB in Gmail. Now it doesn’t matter, because you can use your storage the way you want.”

Unfortunately, Google has also offered paid storage tiers across Gmail, Google+ Photos and Drive – previously, users could add 25GB of storage to Drive for $2.49 per month. And was only usable in Gmail, and now that option is gone; the cheapest extended storage option is adding 100GB to your Google account for $4.99 per month. Means, any additional storage you purchase in Gmail also applies to Drive and Google+ Photos.

You can now manage your Google cloud storage and purchase more, with plans starting at $4.99/months for 100GB, using the Drive iPhone/iPad or Android app, or by visiting the official Google Drive storage page. Also check out on how your combined storage space is used by Gmail, Google+ Photos and Drive, buy additional storage and see other stats.

Think about Dropbox’s price for 100GB plan, while Dropbox charges $99.99 for an additional hundred GB, or $9.99 a month. When compared to Google’s offering, its half of the price of Dropbox’s 100GB plan, and with some improvements to Drive had made it even better as a Dropbox alternative than ever.

Google will be rolling out updates to both the Google Drive storage and web interface “over the next couple of weeks.” Stay tuned for a good news soon!

First and foremost, the Mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera is a popular class of digital photography system in cameras. Ever since they first popped up in 2008′s, mirrorless cameras have demanded attention, unlike a compact digital camera, a MILC is equipped with an interchangeable lens mount and not like a digital single-lens reflex camera, which does not have a mirror-based optical viewfinder. To discuss with such technology, Samsung might have a certain NX-R camera in the works.

The alleged photo of the mirrorless camera device was first spotted on Samsung’s official website in a dropdown list that gave the device model, although not much more is known about the device.

Many thought that this could be a full frame CMOS camera since Samsung rep stated that the company was developing a full frame CMOS sensor for use in the professional camera. Speculated since 4 years with that statement, and we’re not sure if the statement holds true till now. But the folks at Photo Rumors have a couple of images, which claim that could be the Samsung NX-R mirrorless camera.

These days in the technology world everything can happen, the photos you see above could be a concept design (renders), but we can agree if some other photos started to leek out, and can only that an announcement is imminent.

The NX-R could also feature WiFi? What are the other features that rock your mind? We should know soon enough if this is a real story.

Everyone in the tech world likes it when new Android smartphones are announced, even when you’re owning an old variant. Like that Sony’s yet another latest handset was announced as a water-resistant phone with the launch of the Xperia ZR. Check out the details after the break!

Sony’s Xperia ZR (also called the Xperia A S0-04E) if you happen to live in Japan, the handset itself is rather fetching to look at, similar to Sony’s Android phones are these days. The device with a 4.6-inch is a beauty and more than skin deep though, and the ZR is apparently waterproof all the way to feet, making it scuba safe.

Like Sony Xperia Z, the ZR will actually take your smartphone into the sea with you, in order to film both HD movies and photos in an awesome HDR format. Xperia ZR poses with a 13-megapixel camera and Exmor RS image sensor – with a dedicated camera button like the one on the Xperia ZL and this new 720p Android smartphone that’s waterproof to 1.5 meters (5 feet).

Imagine about the 1080p video shoot. Under water with a smartphone? The Sony Xperia ZR packs a bunch of whooping specifications beyond that camera. Sony has equipped the ZR handset with a Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core 1.5GH CPU, 2GB RAM, LTE, NFC, Sony’s Walkman album and movie apps. And it runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Yup, an old OS.

The most interesting feature in this newly announced Xperia ZR would be the 4.6″ 720p display that features an OptiContrast OLED screen with BRAVIA technology which claims to reduce glare even when in direct sunlight.

The device will be available in four different colors – Black, Blue, Pink and Cyan – the Japanese company has released two ads pushing its latest device, one of which shows off the features of the smartphone being used for a spot of underwater filming in a swimming pool.

Nevertheless, Sony is continuing its Xperia trend with BRAVIA Engine and forwarded with the Xperia ZR to continue that trend of water-resistant Android phones. Still, no word yet on pricing or availability, but as soon as we hear more we’ll let you know via update.

Update X1: As Xperia Blog grabbed, the dubbed Xperia ZR is actually the international version of Japan’s upcoming Xperia A SO-04E, which is popping up in the FCC database.

Still there are some areas in the technological developed countries in the planet are trying to get grips on 4G and plenty of them even don’t have 3G network, but in this fastest growing tech world of carriers and smartphone manufacturers didn’t stopped from working on the upcoming fifth-generation mobile data, or 5G.

Mobile internet is certainly becoming and playing an integral roll when consuming information as well as being the major way of many a business, the race for ever increasing mobile data speeds has seen development of 5G ready even while 4G is still a pie for many. Now, the competition begins with the Korean company “Samsung”, is one poking its nose into the future with 5G technology, which has today announced that it has successfully run tests that have achieved a whopping 1Gbps download speed, with more accurate to come.

According to Korea’s Yonhap News Agency, Samsung has imminently tested its 5G platform, pulling down data at one Giga-bits/sec in recent tests, that used the 28 GHz waveband and 64 different antenna elements to pull the trick off, and Samsung claiming that the technology could theoretically achieve tens of gigabits per second, that will be available to customers by 2020.

To put that 1Gbps speed into substance, the projected maximum we should expect from the currently rolling out 4G technology is around 75Mbps, and that’s obviously considered to be boasting speed! While Samsung will not be ready to launch its G technology into the hands of customers until around the 2020 time frame – matching the European Commission’s goal to have 5G ready quite nicely.

Samsung isn’t the only one company currently testing 5G data, with NTT DoCoMo announcing a few months ago that it too had performed successful tests of its 5th-generation technology. It has used car full of antennas utilizing the 400MHz spectrum to achieve 10Gbps. So, there are two big players planning to release the speed stakes, and wo wonder wo’ll be next? Might be Apple?. Probably not T-Mobile or Sprint, while AT&T and Verizon has 4G mobile data technology aready.

Rimind you and don’t even expect about the next iPhone or Galaxy S series to have a 5G badge on it any time soon! Because, it’s still in progress! (via: Twitter)

After months of rumors, Google has officially launched as a part of the existing partner channel program.YouTube with the paid channels appear to be a part of a small pilot program, with just a few channels currently available. YouTube paid channels would appear with the subscriptions that start at $0.99 per month, according to the company’s announcement in a blog post. Each and every channels will offer two weeks of free viewing before charges attacks in and some will provide discounts for those who subscribed (sign up) for an annual subscription.

Currently, examples include the SeSame Street Channel that offers two different subscription options depending on whether the viewer wants their content in HD or not. As part during these early days of paid channels, Sesame Street is available for $1.99 in SD or $2.99 in HD. As part of the new YouTube channels pilot program, some biggies includes Big Think Mentor, Comedy TV, PGA Digital Golf and Pets TV.

Although, there’s a subscription model as well, where $17.99 or $27.99 will get you access to everything served up via the new channel. Similarly to how series’ are sold in iTunes, for example, and YouTube does appear to be trying to compete with the likes of Apple fashion, Netflix Streaming and other media outlets.

The new paid channels will obviously allow high quality content to find a home on YouTube wheress alternatives may shy away from showing the purely ad-based revenue model. The move comes with some risk factor for YouTube and the possibility of generating significant revenue by taking a cut of subscription fees and advertisements that air on the channels.

While, YouTube will be able to compete with an already-established, well settled method of consuming video content. But this new revenue stream will only comment YouTube’s position in toe-to-toe with Netflix fight.

Still in its early stage, paid YouTube channels, we wait with baited breath to see what new content finds its way to the internet’s biggest video content source soon. Would you like paying to watch videos from your favorite YouTube channels?
