The new Dropbox and Microsoft Office Mobile integrations are here! Followed by the earlier announcement of the software giant’s partnership on allowing documents editing capabilities can made directly from Dropbox. It’s live! Now, it’s easy to work on the Office files you’ve stored in Dropbox even when you’re on the go – edit them from the Dropbox app, and access them from the Office apps, directly.
This essential integration allows user to tap into Dropbox storage from within the Office Mobile apps, but apparently, it include the ability to send links to files from Office using Dropbox as well. Open documents from it in Office, and gives full access to do more. Currently, this functionality only supports Office docs, spreadsheets and presentations.
In order to get started, make sure your Dropbox app is up to date on yor iPhone, iPad or Android devices. Confirmed, open any Office doc in your Dropbox. Tap the new Edit icon to start editing in the latest Office apps. Once done, your changes will be saved back to Dropbox automatically.
Note: Dropbox for Business customers will also be able to take advantage of these new features, while they are also having an Office 365 subscription though.
