Apple has just released the very first beta of iOS 7 to developers, allowing those who signed up to the iOS Developer Program to go ahead and test out some of the new features and alterations announced at WWDC 2013.
The 1st build, number 11A4372q of iOS 7 was released for the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S/4, along with the fifth-generation iPod touch and new betas for the Apple TV with a beta of Find My iPhone. First and foremost, this iOS 7 beta 1 download is only available to registered Apple developers, so if you happen to be enrolled in the $99 per year agreement, you’re eligible to download it from the official site. Check the details after the break.
Not only that, but Apple has also outed the first build of the Xcode 5 Developer Preview as well. So, devices should be backed up using iTunes or via iCloud prior to installation of iOS 7 and the following installs, can be restored through either process.
Apple after a great deal of rumor, speculation and concepts has finally unveiled iOS 7 on the opening morning of this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference. Like in the past, every time when a new version of iOS is announced, Apple planned to make it available as the first beta build to developers, and iOS 7 is no exception.
iOS 7 beta 1 is now available for download to those running an iPhone 4, i5/4S and iPod touch 5; it will also be available for iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4 and iPad mini in the coming weeks are so. But the iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 4 have been left behind, but considering the former is now four years old, this was perhaps to be expected.
Take it like a warning or caution, we must say this against those intending to download this build from unverified sources. Apple is fairly dogmatic in halting this kind of sharing activity, and has been known to take action against multiple devices using the same accounts.
Those who already downloaded and installed iOS 7 beta 1 can comment about it about the alterations made to look and feel the significant in practice as was constructed at the WWDC showcasing? Share your thoughts with us!
