Internet Download manager and Free Download managers are one of the best and most popular software’s available for desktop computers, which tends to efficiently manage all downloads from the internet and to ensure that the files get downloaded at the fastest speeds possible with a whooping style. The said managers actually use “download acceleration” technology to speed up downloads in which the file which you downloading is split up in many parts and then all parts are downloaded simultaneously. All this can be only done with your current internet connection limitations related to bandwidth given per broadband connection or any WiFi.
In other way these managers works similar to Peer to Peer (P2P), i mean similar but not actually like that, because Torrents have seeds and peers, where Seeds means you are grabbing some parts from other downloading part, and where Peers, which means you are a part from where others downloading from yours. Confused? Don’t be, its very simple like sharing your downloads and grabbing those downloading files. Apart this.
Now, the dedicated download management has made its way into smartphones (specifically Android smartphones) with Crystal Downloader. Check it out after the jump!
This is a simple download manager developed by xtr143, Crystal Downloader is an accelerator that manages your downloads and also split files to be downloaded so that they download a whole too faster.
Crystal Downloader has a very straightforward user-interface. The main page consists of a Download button which you can tap after entering the URL of the file you want to download. Beneath it you can see already downloaded or currently downloading files and their information (file name, download location, percentage download complete, number of parts in which download is divided).
It also comes with a Settings page where you can set up location of default music/video/general downloads and the maximum number of parts to split the download into (upto 32!).
To start a download with Crystal Download, simply copy the URL (link) of the file to be downloaded from the browser, launch Crystal Download and Paste the URL in the space at the top and tap download. Your other option is to long-tap a link and Share it with Crystal Download.
