Chronic Dev Team Gets the A4 Devices Untethered Jailbreak On iOS 5.0.x – Pod2g To Focus On A5 Devices Untether JB Now!

Breaking News: Pod2g has announced that he has handed over the iOS 5 untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 1 and iPod Touch A4 devices to the Chronic Dev Team. Pod2g now want to focus on A5 (iPhone 4S, iPad 2) jailbreak and to be released soon as early as possible. After getting donated by numerous doners, pod2g was able to get his hands on iPhone 4S to try his untethered exploit on it. Before pod2g tried and confirmed his jailbreak works on all A4 chip devices. Few days ago, he faced some problems with cache, but fixed when he was trying to jailbreak initially on A5 iPhone 4S device. Pod2g is almost their to get his jailbreak on iPda 2 and iPhone 4S untethered on iOS 5.0.1.

Just yesterday, pod2g once again demonstrated the iPhone 4 untethered jailbreak on iOS 5.0.x A4 chip devices iPad 1 and iPod Touch will fall in the same procedure.

I read the comments on the blog, and I know that a lot of people are waiting for the A5 jailbreak. Also, I know there are tons of people out there with A4 or even earlier devices who wants the untether now and don’t care about it could be interesting to wait A5 is finished to release or even 5.1, so that we don’t waste an exploit that took me months to find and develop.

I need to focus on A5 and hope I can find a path quick, and I have the feeling that chronic-dev could help me. So, here is what I did:
