Cherry Mobile Launches 4 New Alpha Series Windows Phone Smartphones And Tablets At An Affordable Price Tag

The Philippines based OEM Cherry Mobile has simultaneously launched 4 new Windows Phone-based handsets and Windows Phone 8.1 tablets in its Alpha series – The Alpha Style, Alpha Morph, Alpha Play and Alpha Luxe smartphones and tablets.

Cherry-Mobile-logoCherry Mobile Alpha Style is a dual-SIM handset comes with a 4-inch WVGA (800x480p) display, powered by a quad-core 1.2 Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor and paired with 512MB of RAM. It includes a 4GB ROM with microSD card support expansion up to 32GB, sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 0.3MP front-facing sensor. It supports 3G HSPA connectivity. IT packs a 1500mAh Li-Ion Battery.

Cherry-Mobile-Alpha-StyleThe Cherry Mobile’s Alpha Style runs on Windows Phone 8.1 OS. Available at an affordable price tag of just 2,999 PHP (around $69 USD).

The Alpha Luxe is also a budget-range device, but packs a larger display when compared to Style and other improvements are similar. Priced at 4,999 PHP ($114). Features a 5-inch HD (1280x720px) display with Asahi Dragontrail Glass, sports a quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200, coupled with 1GB of RAM, 8GB internal storage with microSD card support up to 32GB,; 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and 2MP front-facing selfie sensor and more off it runs on Windows Phone 8.1 and comes with a dual-SIM support.

Cherry-Mobile-Alpha-LuxeThe Alpha Play is an 8-inch HD display tablet, runs on Intel Atom quad-core 1.33GHz Z3735D processor, paired with 1GB of RAm, 16GB internal storage (with microSD support up to 64GB), 5MP rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera, supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and packs with Windows 8.1 with Bing.

Cherry-Mobile-Alpha-PlayThe Alpha Play is the cheaper and smaller of the above two, and Cherry calls it “your life in one device”. Priced at 7,999 PHP ($182), the Alpha Play will be available to buy later this month.

The Alpha Morph is a 10-inch HD (1280x720px) IPS LCD tablet, runs Windows 8.1 with Bing out-of-the-box, powered by a quad-core 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z3735D processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM and comes with a 32GB of built-in storage which can in further expandable up to 64GB via microSD card. It sports a 2-megapixe rear camera with backside-illuminated sensor and a 2MP front facing camera.

Cherry Mobile ALPHA MORPH Tablet\Connectivity options include WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, USB OTG ready, Bluetooth 4.0 and also be available to purchase alongside a detachable keyboard, but it’s not clear that it will be coming as a free accessory. Priced at 11,999 PHP ($274) price tag or if it will cost extra.
