Millions of Facebook fans including me have complained about the output of their Facebook Timeline, but no worry, here’s an application that can make you free from those issues. Here’s PinView, a new Facebook app, displays items from your News Feed, Timeline, friends list and pages as small panels, just like Pinterest. Details after this jump!

Brand new PinView Facebook app displays items from your Timeline, multimedia pages as small panels, similar to a social bookmarking site Pinterest showcases images on Pinboards. The spiffy app launched on Thursday as a free to use and opens the users News Feed in grid format, buttons on the top then allow them to view Timeline, friends’ profile photos, photos or videos. With the wish word says, “Browse Facebook like you browse Pinterest.”

Co-developer Thomas Petersen says about this app to Mashable:

“We are also planning to allow you to sort them based on popularity and other non-realtime properties.”

Once you download the app, PinView opens up your News Feed in grid format. Buttons on the top right allow you to just view stuff from your Timeline, friends’ profile photos, photos or videos.

In the past, sites across the web had already used the grid-format display, but Pinterest has found major success presenting the layout design to the masses. Petersen goes on to admit that Pinterest is the best use of the grid format he’s seen to date:

“It’s popular because it allow you to quickly scan lots of pictures; that is the strength of this format. It’s not something Pinterest invented, but they found the proper use for it.

What are you waiting for, go, give PinView a try and let us know what you think?

Two new things happened, first the Facebook has splashed $1 billion on Instagram and second is Microsoft purchases AOL patents for one billion dollars. Few days ago, Android devices got the photo sharing app “Instagram” download directly from Google Play Store for free and today it seems Facebook itself already finding itself to be hated by much of the online community for perceived privacy violations, some are already fearing the worst for Instagram, users of the photo sharing social network are left with something of a quandary.

Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg has already said that Instagram will be kept around even after this huge sale has gone through, but that will not stop people from worrying what will happen to the service over the coming weeks and months.

If you’re an Instagram user and really worried about your photographs on how you can get them out of the service? Here’s a simple solution to grab all your photos from that service as visiting a web site and handing over your Instagram credentials.

Instaport is that web site, and it allows the downloading of either an entire Instagram stream, or photos based on a selection of criteria from date ranges to the tags used. You wil be amazed if you want to download everything that was tagged before with #pianocat, for example.

Using Instaport wouldn’t be that easier as you think. Simply visit the web site and give the web app your Instagram details. you’re worried that Facebook is going to kill Instagram then the chances are you won’t be too concerned about handing over access to your account, and we don’t see any reason to worry regardless.

Once signed in, users can then choose the data range from which to download photos, just download the last X number of images, or choose to get just photos tagged in a particular way. You can even download all the images that belong to other people and that you liked, which is interesting.

Telling Instaport to do its thing results in a handy zip file, which houses all the images you requested. It’s super simple, and a great way to get all of your photos out of Instagram should you so desire. It’s so pretty good way to simply back up your photos, even though you have no plan to leave Instagram any time soon.

Instaport is a free handy web app that does exactly what is says on the tin. If you need to download Instagram images en-masse, then this is the way to do it.

The Facebook purchased the highly popular photo-sharing app Instagram Monday (9th April), for roughly $1 billion in a combination of cash and stock. Instagram – one of the hottest image-based social networks at this point in time – has just been acquired by the world’s foremost social platform, Facebook.

Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom and Facebook leader Mark Zuckerberg released contemporaneous press statements, and while many of Intsagram’s 30 million + fans may be a little apprehensive about the amalgamation, Systrom was quick to make the point that Instagram will not change, but merely benefit from the acquisition.

He said in the statement:

It’s important to be clear that Instagram is not going away. We’l (sic) be working with Facebook to evolve Instagram and build the network. We’ll continue to add new features to the product and find new ways to create a better mobile photos experience.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the acquisition in a post on his Facebook Timeline Monday.

The sale is expected to close later this quarter, and will bring the nine-person staff of Instagram to the social network.

“For years, we’ve focused on building the best experience for sharing photos with your friends and family,” Zuckerberg said in the post. “Now, we’ll be able to work even more closely with the Instagram team to also offer the best experiences for sharing beautiful mobile photos with people based on your interests.”

Meanwhile, Zuckerberg – whose Facebook network boasts in excess of 800 million active users – was also clearly excited about Instagram. He issued a press release reflective of Systrom’s, and spoke briefly of the direction he plans to take Instagram.

Instagram launched its iOS app in October 2010, and came to Android for the first time last week. This is the first time Facebook has acquired a company or product with so many users. “We don’t plan on doing many more of these, if any at all.” Zuckerberg said.

“But providing the best photo sharing experience is one reason why so many people love Facebook and we knew it would be worth bringing these two companies together.”

Having built a 27 million-strong base on Apple’s iPhone, the Android version was finally released last week. It’s still early days for the Android iteration, but with a significantly larger consumer reach on the smartphone market than Apple, it’ll be a surefire hit.

However, Facebook has spent a mighty-might staggering $1 Billion to to acquire Instagram and could change some equiations to that photo sharing app in coming days so back up your Instagram photos before Facebook changes the app right by using Instaport free web app from here.

Two months ago, Facebook started rolling out Timeline to all its users. Facebook has yet to give a date for when Timeline for profiles will be pushed out to everyone.

Here is Facebook’s message to Page administrators:

Reminder! Tomorrow starting at 11am PST we will begin to migrate Pages who have not upgraded yet to the new Timeline format. If you admin one of those Pages, you still have time to get your Page ready by adding a cover photo, milestones, etc. before tomorrow! Check out these tips from other Page admins: https://www.facebook.com/marketing/posts/10150758346981337

Facebook is highlighting the following new Page features:

* Cover Photo: Businesses and organizations can now add a cover photo to the top of their Page.
* Friend Activity: When someone first visits a Page, they may see friends’ recent posts spotlighted as friend activity. People will also see how many of their friends are connected to a Page.
* Larger Stories, Milestones, and Page Timeline: The new Page design allows Page owners to tell stories through bigger photos and milestones that can include a date and other content.
* Pinned Posts: Organizations can pin a post to keep a story at the top of a Page for up to seven days.
* Admin Panel: The Admin panel is a new way for Page administrators to track their performance and to respond to private messages from people (Facebook started testing Private Messages for Pages two months ago).
* Activity Log: Page administrators have access to a log of their Page activity, including tools to easily highlight, hide or delete posts and change the date of a post.

You should also check out facebook.com/about/pages and the new eight-page Facebook Pages guide (PDF)

The Timeline option was actually added back in September last year, and Facebook users have had the option to change over for a while now. Today will be the last day to use the old Facebook pages, then its being changed from tomorrow, and you can see how the new Timeline looks over at Grabi Facebook page right now.

Well there are several users of Facebook, who regularly update their profiles and do many things, but when talking about FB, i am not one of them who likes that much. Well its not the topic, getting into it. Today the social networking giant Facebook pushed a messenger application for Windows 7 after a test link was allegedly leaked. Details after the jump!

If you are an Windows user then this is specially for you, leaving Mac OS X users, Facebook Messenger for Windows has just released in a proper manner, where you’ll be able to enjoy a complete landing page for posterity’s sake. the Facebook team has cottoned on to the fact that user engagement might increase if they could use some of the more core Facebook services from within a dedicated desktop client. With that in mind, we are officially seeing the launch of Facebook Messenger for Windows Desktop Chat Client.

Facebook Messenger for Windows now enables you to chat with your Facebook friends via a simple tabbed interface, in addition to checking out your very own news feed, while sending notifications over to your desktop and send and receive chat messages without the need for web a browser being open, all the time.

The company officially launching the chat client, which features nothing more than bug fixes and some fine-tuning over the leaked version. The Facebook Messenger client is available now for the Windows 7 operating system, and will be coming soon to Mac OS X.

According to TechCrunch who have noted a couple of ways that they believe the chat client will help Facebook:

* Persistent access to Chat will increase engagement of the primary user, and also draw their friends to spend more time on Facebook
* Persistent access to notifications, messages, and friend requests that launch Facebook.com may lead to more return visits than users haphazardly stopping by the website to check for these alerts.

No waiting go grab or you can download Facebook Messenger for Windows simply heading over to this official link.

The United States customers are kept wiating were as Euroepan users got it early this weeek the most awaiting The Facebook app for the PlayStation Vita. However there are still some kinks to be worked out.

Highly successful game Angry Birds has finally launched on the Facebook network, but we have some good news and some bad news as well, and what are they. Considering the fact that Angry Birds has nearly achieved world domination, it seemed rather bizarre that the world’s biggest and most successful mobile game hadn’t been released on the world’s largest and most successful social network. Developer Rovio is trying out a different business model that flocks together with other freemium games on the social network. Which means that those temperamental birds are now available to fling around as a native Facebook application.

While today is Valentine’s day, and the application has only just been launched and is currently in its beta stage and launched a day early as a gift, you can still get features we have come to expect from the little birds. However the app was been released with a beta tag on it, offring an extremely polished user interface which looks very crisp and poping with stunning graphics though.

After allowing the application access to your Facebook details, the app homescreen offers the following options:

* Choose between three gameplay levels: Poached Eggs, Surf and Turk (exclusive to Facebook users) and the Mighty Hoax.
* An offer for users to receive a free Valentines Day gift.
* The obligatory ‘invite’ friends option which is present in pretty much all Facebook apps.
* User profile information which includes current scores.
* Standard system options, including toggling sound on or off and viewing developer information.
* Your user inbox, the Angry Birds gameplay shop which allows game content and upgrades to be purchased and a placeholder for the future avatar customization section.

Now Bad news: Rather than make you pay $1 up front for a mobile download, there’s 4 new powerups that you can buy for cheap – just $1 for 20 uses.

By expanding its in-app purchases beyond the level-beating Mighty Eagle, Rovio could earn higher a higher average lifetime revenue per user for itself and Facebook rather than squeezing a single golden egg from players upon install.

The Facebook application even has the full Angry Birds soundtrack which we have all come to love. The application will instantly feel familiar to anyone who has used any of the mobile versions of the game, with the developers following the same UI concepts throughout, including level selection, instructional content as well as the in-game graphics.

In classic freemium style, you get the first power-ups free, but more uses will cost you. There’s the Sling Scope for pinpoint targeting, Birdquake to shake down precariously perched pigs, Super Seeds for stronger birds, and the King Sling for a velocity boost. Those looking to fire birds for eternity can buy 1000 uses of any power-up for $20. These purchases combine with mobile app sales and physical merchandise to make Rovio a very well monetized developer.

What are the best features added to this Facebook’s Angry Birds game? Enhanced social features to foster pig-smashing community and juice up user acquisition. You can see high scores of friends and invite others to compete through the flash game’s sidebar. You can also send free power-up gifts to friends that appear as Facebook notifications they’re sure to see, which will definitely help Angry Birds with virality.

I don’t know how one is consern when games are ported to be Facebook applications is how the gameplay will be handled as an embedded app in Facebook, considering you’re playing through a web browser. The Facebook version of Angry Birds provides the same experience and looks gorgeous in full-screen mode like the the HTML5 version of “Cut The Rope” which launched too long ago.

Its not matter whether you love Angry Birds or hate it and if you are an Facebook user; then you must give it a try and see the awesome gameplay features and graphic effects that’s not in the Windows or Mac OS X Versions.

Here’s the link to get started with Angry Birds on Facebook, and check How great it is on Social Network.

Thinking you are a big fan of Facebook and using an old phone which doesn’t have a browser, and only can be used to make calls? Even that device has no internet or WAP services enabled such as (EDGE/GPRS/3G) connectivity is not available? Now how can you access Facebook on this mobile without internet? That’s what we are talking about right now. Details after the jump!

Don’t worry. You can still use your Facebook account in India by simply dialing *325# (called *fbk#) from your mobile phone – this service will not require any data plan or Internet and this tip works on phones of the 10 years older. Check this out right now:

Using Facebook without any Data Plan (EDGE, GPRS, or 3G)

As Facebook has recently announced that mobile users in India can access their Facebook accounts, even if they don’t have activated any WAP services on their phones. Facebook India has partnered with Fonetwish to bring Facebook on every mobile phone without requiring any apps or even the Internet.

After dailing the *325# number, you will recieve a message that “we will be back”, then enter your Facebook username and password, that’s it you’re in. You can also send number based commands to access various features of Facebook, Chat with friends, family who are online, add new people to your friends list, and many more.

The main point in order to use Facebook to read feed stories, and to quickly update Facebook status or for chatting with your friends who are online, costs you not more than a subscription fee of 1.00 per day for unlimited usage.

Note: The only problem with using Fonetwish is that it has a limit of 140 characters. This service is now available in India via Airtel, Idea, Aircel, Tata Docomo and well known networks as well.
