Well! i am an Nokia Lumia 800 user and want to try it, which Micrsosft have finally deemed Skype for Windows Phone a functionality and complete app worthy of a 1.0 version and ready for public consumption. The final 1.0 version of the Skype application has come just in time for all those enthusiastic consumers who are raiding local stores to snap up the Nokia Lumia 900, the latest must have smartphone.

So, today Skype’s fledgling Windows Phone app broke out of beta today, adding contact searching and landline calling to it’s VOIP repertoire. This update came to us of two months of the Beta introduction and boasts some handful of minor improvements that should keep your calls connected.

The Skype app is now live in the Windows Phone Marketplace and brings with it all of the features you would expect from a mobile version of the popular software that was originally created by Niklas Zennström and Janus Friis but subsequently purchased by Microsoft in 2011.

If you’re one of those Windows Phone users, after downloading, you will be able to place voice and video calls to any of their contacts as well as make use of the built-in instant messaging type features to send text based messages. Ever heard about BlueStacks emulator, thta allows Android apps and games to be enjoyed full-screen on a desktop PC. It was initially alunched in Alpha last October, and also downloaded over a million times during that initial three-months time. Launched today, the very first Beta version uses the company’s Layercake technology, which exploits hardware accelerators to improve the performance allowing Android game apps to run on x86-based PCS (32-bit). The layer was not included in the previous Bluestacks alpha version. Android applications typically use hardware accelerators found in ARM’s Mali, Nvidia’s Tegra or Imagination Technologies’ PowerVR graphics cores, but Layercake is able to take advantage of hardware accelerators from companies like AMD found in x86 chips.

The Bluestacks software company is trying to close the gap between Microsoft’s Windows and Google’s Android OS with its App Player application, which was released in beta on Tuesday. BlueStacks put the initial Alpha on hold in order to properly prepare the public Beta, so gave it a try and tested out in order to see how good it has come since CES.

My first step, I downloaded the installer from the BlueStacks site. Once downloaded, I installed it, which took me again to the CES award with a million downloads milestone.

If you opt to install BlueStacks and like me, you will be soon get it running, and if slow connection, then grab a coffee when process starts. However, it doesn’t have any download progress bar though, so you may fell like you’re been abandoned in blind wait.

Well, BlueStacks installation will be done without any issues on Windows XP, Windows 7/Vista and on start provided the option to download software from Google’s Android application market. Angry Bird Space, the latest iteration of the game, was released last week and ran on the PC through BlueStacks. In order to really test the pedigree of BlueStacks, I went for a fairly resource-intensive game as opposed to, say, a passive social app, and came up with the modern classic that is Cut The Rope (Free).

BlueStacks automatically gives you a very intrusive toolbar at the top of your screen, which protrudes like OS X’s dock when you hover over its icons. It’s easy enough to remove, and you’re left with the main application pane. Screenshot below!

After tested BlueStacks, i feel great to have this on my computer which gave me a chance to experience most popular Android application on my PC running seamlessly. As HandyGames CEO Markus Kassulke rightly points out:

A billion PCs is a huge potential market for any developer . . There is potential to make good money from the additional app discovery and usage.

App Player is an emulator that allows Android applications to run on Windows 7, Vista and XP OSes. Users can install the software in Windows and then run around 450,000 Android applications, including Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja, the company said in a statement.

Note : As well as searching within the app for Android titles, one can sync with an Android device, allowing those apps already purchased to be transferred to a PC.

Earlier this week, the author of the Windows 8 information web site WinUnleaked.tk obtained a copy of a Release Candidate version of Windows 8 that exposed more information about new SKU options for the OS. When you visit that website, you can see what has been included in this new build. Apart this!

For those uninitiated, a release candidate is not, by any means, final, but is expected to be very functional/ stable, and give a relatively strong indication of what the end-user release will include.

Well i am a big user of Windows OS, and i am happy, regarding the Consumer Preview seems to draw a favorable conclusion with multi-altered eighth version of the Win OS. Microsoft, the Redmond-based software maker will operate a centralized store from which apps can be downloaded, and there will be deep integration with mobile devices.

The above said source, seems to reckon the RC version of Windows 8 will be available to download from May or early June. Which doesn’t make sense with other speculation that Microsoft software company launching the final version of Windows 8 – for 32-bit& 64-bit processors – around October time.

If the information is to be taken as conirmation, the Charm bar, Language input menu, and Internet Explorer 10 (Desktop version) will receive a few make overs, and there may be a few more color options added to the pallet. Additionally the Consumer Experience Improvement Program Feature, that lets Windows 8 users opinions and queries directly to Microsoft – will be surely disabled by default.

Recently reported as the Microsoft to get the Retina-like screen for its Windows 8 Tablets, which obviously task of retained dominance on the desktop front, Microsoft certainly has the means to mount a serious challenge to the popularity of Apple’s iOS on the tablet front, too.

Actually, the iPad ruling the tablet market since its launch two years ago, but now the consumers apparently subscribing to the Metro style, Could Microsoft mount the challenge? While Google was struggling since the 2010 release of the original Apple iPad.
