Even though Google is not providing the most reverent social results, Twitter argues by promoting Google+ in search results. Meanwhile, Google has implied and they are going to promote more pages from Twitter after getting a proper permission from them. Twitter general council Alex Macgillivray then tweeted an example of why he thought Google’s new results were inefficient: Google search results for the search term “@WWE” — yes, with the “@” symbol — that did not include the organization’s Twitter page.

Now Google has confirmed that it has never indexed the “@” symbol. In other words, the search engine has never recognized a Twitter handle when it was formatted that way. So while we are searching for “WWE Twitter” organizations Twitter feed before its Google+ page, “@WWE” returns the same results as “WWE” — in this case, with Google+ results first. Anyway searching in “+WWE” leads to reach the Profile of Google+.The symbol which is used by the company is very nice. For the last five years people are searching for Twitter handles, they never got around to adding the @ symbol to your index.

Even if we do not use this @ symbol, the result will be valid over “@WWE”. 24,900 people have +1ed or added WWE to their circles on Google+ — but 792,642 people follow WWE on Twitter. In this case, and many others, the Twitter page is a more relevant social result than the Google+ page. Twitter ranks higher than Google+ for the WWE in Yahoo, AOL and Bing results.

Bloomberg claims that Google said that they are expected to announce the third version of Google TV in the second quater of 2012, however they didn’t unveiled any details about on what new features will be added to that service.

While at CES 2012 we are seen various number of manufacturers releasing their new Google TV devices and OnLive to bring console-level gaming to Google TV as well!

The news that OnLive is set to join the game (awful pun unfortunately intended) comes as the firm already has its “OnLive Viewer” app available, which allows gamers to spectate whilst their friends play games. Unfortunately there is no actual gaming allowed using the Viewer app, but OnLive is set to change all that by releasing a fully fledged app for the big screen.

Though lot of users creating photo albums in Googe Plus, most of the users don’t know about the facility of editing the photos from inside Google Plus itself! Actually it is there! Let us explain how to edit the photos in Google Plus.

Follow these steps.

1. Log into your Google Plus account  by visiting https://plus.google.com/.

2. In the toolbar on the top middle of the page there is photos tab in your Google Plus account which looks like two little Polaroid pictures..open it!

3. You can select photos from your circles displayed on the page, your albums on the right top side of the page, or you can choose upload a new photo. Click on the photo you want to edit and click again to display in a separate photo viewer (much like Facebook’s).

4. On the bottom left of your picture, click Edit Photo.

5. You will be given a few options, like rotating or selecting Auto-fix to automatically improve picture quality.

6. Click on Creative Kit to access more detailed options.

There are lot of options in Creative Kit to edit your photos like changing colors and exposure, resize, sharpen, crop and more. If you want more effects to get extra glamour to your photos click Effects and you will easily get variety of different effects, and even make edits like correcting blemishes and adding a “sunless tan” to your skin in photos. You can add Rudolph’s red nose to your face during Christmas or falling snow during the winter season by using the options in the Seasonal tab. You are able to add doodles and speech bubbles to your pictures Under the Vandalize tab. you can add text in a variety of fonts to your pictures and select where you want it on your picture Under the Text tab.

3. After installation, launch Chrome on your Mac and click on the + button at the top to open a new tab. You should see a page displaying any software and extensions that have been installed in Chrome. Click on the one for Chrome Remote Desktop. The first time you do this, you’ll receive a message asking for authorization. Click on the Continue button.

4. The next screen will ask for the necessary permissions for the extension to run. Click on the Allow Access button.

5. The next screen will prompt you to share the computer. Click on the Share this Computer button.

6. You’ll then receive an access code that must be entered on your PC in order to control your Mac. Write down that code.

7. Next launch Chrome on your PC. Click on the new Tab button and click on the icon for the Chrome Remote Desktop. Again, the first time you run the extension, you’ll need to grant permission for the extension to run.

8. At the Chrome Remote Desktop BETA Connect screen, click on the link to access a shared computer.

9. Type in the access code generated on the Mac and then click the Connect button.

10. You should now see your Mac displayed in the Chrome browser on your PC. As with any remote desktop application, you can use your mouse and keyboard to move around, open applications, access features, create documents, and do virtually anything else you want. You can also minimize Chrome on the Mac but don’t close it otherwise the connection will be lost.

11. Once you’re finished, you simply click on the button that says Disconnect.

Now you have to grant permission on both sides.The process runs quicker once you get past that first hurdle.

Wait!: Chrome Remote Desktop can connect any two computers over the Internet, not just on the same network. Since it does run over the public Internet, there are always security concerns. Chrome’s 16 major features to the web brwoser is multi-user support. Google by default added the cloud print ability for Chrome 16. From within one account in the host operating system, Chrome can now support distinct users with different preferences, themes, add-ons, and synced items. New user accounts can be created and synchronized with different Google accounts in the browser preferences, and a new icon in the upper left-hand corner of the screen allows for quick user switching – you can have multiple accounts open simultaneously in different windows.

Google has released the sixteenth version of Chrome into the stable channel, introducing the ability to create and synchronize multiple profiles for a single instance of the popular web browser. The feature will be particularly useful for anyone who shares their computer with others, so that they can be able to keep their bookmarks, applications, settings and extensions, as well as history seperately from everone
s eyes.

In order to create a new user profile, simply navigate to prefrences > Personal stuff and just click on “Add New User”. The New instance of Chrome will appear with a badge and a random name that can be edited to your wish. A clickable label in the top-right corner of your browser windows will show which account is currently in use and clicking on the label enables users to switch between accounts.

News comes out that the Android team is to build a Siri competitor which was codenamed Majal. Google has spent much of the year putting in work on a newly revamped Voice Actions software.

Talking about Google’s response to Apple’s Siri voice assistant was from several months and over a couple of weeks Android and Me received furtur details about the secret project. For starters it is codenamed Majel, which comes from Majel Barrett-Roddenberry, better known as the voice of the Federation Computer from Star Trek.

I am not the one who can compare Siri against any other Voice Assistants or voice actions. Even though still technically in beta and not exactly fully functional yet, Siri lit a fire under the engineers at Google. No one likes to be beaten by the competition, but when it comes to voice interaction, Apple’s engineers are in the top, even if they did get a little help from the purchase of Siri.

This new year will be set to change as early as the first quarter of 2012, already, Google is working hard trying to recreate the Siri magic for its own Android devices, in the form of Majel.

Actually, this is for Android users and unknown users, that there are several Siri-like alternatives available for Devices, which i covered recently in my post.

Apart from this, Google is hardly working on the secret project goes by the name of Majel, the word comes from the name of a woman who acted as the voice of the Federation Computer on Star Trek for years, don’t be confused about the codename.

Hopefully more concrete details will leak out soon. There are plenty of third parties to replicate Siri on Android have so far been wonderful, neither those have ever earned money or the team of engineers at Google’s disposal. we’re not going to be daft enough to suggest they won’t manage to pull a Siri-like competitor out of the bag in the next few months.

This will be the major step made by Google allowing Google+ users linked up with their Gmail and Cantacts with the automatically updated address book. Through a widget on the side of your Gmail screen, you’ll be able to see the most recent G+ post from the person whose email you’re viewing currently, if like, can be able to add them to your Google+ circles right there. So you can easily be to sort your email and you contact lists using the Google plus Circles you’ve created as well.

Google has started rolling out a newer update for its Gmail, Contacts and Google+ services which will bring even closer together. Allowing us, you to keep all your contact information up-to-date automatically, and share photos to Google+ circles, all from within your Gmail account and Google Contacts.

Google by integrating Gmail with the Google+ social network, bringing the ability to add email contacts to Google+ circles. They’ll be rolling out all of these changes over the next few days to the Gmail, Google mail contacts and the ‘standalone’ version of Google contacts at contacts.google.com.

What the Google’s engineering director Mark Striebeck said in a blog post:

“Please note that Google Apps users won’t see the Contacts updates quite yet, but we’re actively working to make them available.”

When the user opens an email in Gmail, they should now see an option to the right of the screen that allows them to add the sender of that message to one of their circles. If that person is already in a circle, their most recent post will appear in that position.

Gmail users can also filter emails by circle, allowing them, for example, to view all recent messages sent by family members or work colleagues. Google has also introduced an option for people to add circle names to emails coming from specific contacts.

A key new function for Gmail users is that of automated contact data population, assuming the contact has a Google profile that includes phone numbers, email addresses and so on. If this is the case, their contact entry in Gmail will automatically include this information, and alterations to that data in the Google profile will propagate through to the Gmail contact information.
